** Rykers POV **

As the crowned was place on my head a loud echo of congratulations waved it's way into my ears.

It was earsplitting and disturbing but I kept quiet.

It was accompanied by a new feeling..

A feeling of someone important to me.

I couldn't point her out as I couldn't feel her scent.

"she's here. My mate here! But when not a wolf! "

I could here my wolf Zack squeal.

But then his voice went low when he said she's not a wolf.

"then what is she? A vampire? A witch? "

I asked back.

"I can't feel any of these in her either. If she was one of them, she ought to have a scent. Looks like I was mated to a human. "

Zack churned.

"Insolence. I will not accept the fact that she is a weak human. I don't want a mate who is weak, I can always get another mate! Where the hell is she? I wanna take a look at what the powerless thing look like! "

I snapped back at Zack and I heard him sigh.

"we can't reject her Rye. Even if she's weak she's still our mate.. "

I heard him reply.

It was him calling me a nickname that made me chuckle.

"well I'm rejecting her right away. Let's go look for her! "

I said and made to walk.

Jaxon noticed my aloof look and nudged me.

"can you feel her yet? Who is she? "

He asked.

I sighed and replied back with a scrowl on my face.

"she has no scent, she's weak. I'm mated trying a human!"

I snapped.

"how's that possible? How comes a human crossed our borders and walked to This gathering. "

Jaxon replied.

But I could see a glint of worry in his face as he answered me.

Everyone looked at me.

They all knew it's possible for me to find a mate on the day I shift and is crowned king so they were all anticipating as to who it was.

My eyes landed on a girl who was standing amidst the crowd in a secretive spot.

She had a hoodie on, hiding her face and her eyes where shut as she seemed to be daydreaming about something.

I immediately felt the magnetic feeling drawing me to her.

It was savage and I hated it.

The girl had black hair which was evident from the part the fell to the side of her face.

She looked chubby and plum.

Her skin was as white as snow and it showed in the dark.

Everyone gasped murmuring as I walked towards her slowly.

They were all surprised.

It was my first time seeing someone like her..

"Ryker.. Is... Is.. This her? "

I heard Jaxon ask with disbelief from besides me.

My face was hard and viod.

"I want to hug her... "

Zack muttered and whined.

I snapped still looking at the girl.

She seemed to have gotten and idea that she was being looked at as she snapped her yes open and her met mine.

I was surprised as I looked at her eyes.

They were unusual.

She had red bloody eyes that one coulddd mistook for that of a witch.

Even witches don't have that colour of red eyes.

She seemed to be taken aback from the sight of me....

As she looked Besides and around her.

She noticed the dozen and hundreds of eyes pairs staring at her.

She began taking slow steps backwards.
