Chapter 32.

*** Melanie's  POV***

I sighed as we sat in the hotel waiting  for lulu.

It's being a week and I got in touch with lulu to ask her for help in case of th mission.

She agreed to join us and we are currently waiting for her.

I sat besides Ryker and Jaxon sat the opposite direction with the Vampire besides him.

Like always,the vampire is smoking away on his pipe like he got no worries on earth.

No one talked.

But for a moment I saw Jaxon stood up from his chair with an anxious face on.

His eyes twinkled and turned red immediately.

It looked like his wolf have taken over.

He looked excited and was breathing heavily.

"what's wrong Jaxon? "

I asked and stood up walking to his side with a worried look.

I touch his face and it was burning  hot.

Was it his wolf that took over?

"what's wrong buddy? "

Ryker asked him.

"mate!!"

I heard him growl in a voice that isn't his completely.

I moved back from him a bit.

The voice was deep and scary.

His mate?

As far as I remember Jaxon doesn't have a mate.

"chill Edgar... Where's she? "

I heard Ryker asked him and I figured out he was talking to his wolf.

Without a word to anyone of us he walked away towards the exit of the door.

My eyes followed  him and that was when lulu  showed up at the door.

Their eyes locked for over four minutes straight and I was anxious.

I could here him growl and my breathing tense.

Lulu was my brother's mate?

It was so shocking.

"mate.. "

I heard him call in a husky voice and before I knew it lulu ran directly into his arms like a baby.

She hugged him tight that I had to close my eye not to get eaten up by envy.

Seriously?

And then she crashed her lips on his.

Oh...

That's a good start for them.

Unlock some other stupid people.

I threw Ryker a deadly glance and he looked away.

But I was happy for my brother.

"you two should get a room.  Your not the only one with a mate here both of ya!"

I snapped as I rolled my eyes for the upteemth time.

Jaxon and lulu were kissing again like we were here to watch a drama show.

"I'm not the alpha king okay...

I can't ignore my mate. "

Jaxon teased and I growled at him.

"are you trying to get on my nerves man? "

Ryker asked

He seemed to be annoyed by the statement.

"of course not.  But you shouldn't blame me for saying your too cold and jinxed. "

Jaxon Cooed in a mocking tone and lulu chuckled lightly at the reaction on my mates face.

"be gentle on her mate..

I woul'nt want sister in-law  to be mad at me.

Or would you? "

Lulu joined in the teased and I cringed

"shut the f*ck up y'all young folks.

I din't come here to sit and listen to your stupid love chats! "

The vampire snapped in and icy and scary voice that everyone had to concentrate on the main thing that brought us together.

"sorry. Jokes aside! "

I snapped and everyone relaxed.

"so we are taking the plane back home tomorrow.

There is no time to dally around and we would set to a full mission the moment we arrive.

There's news that one more pack has been attcked!"

I added and drew out a map from my bag placing it on the table

Or are you that scared fox? I can't believe I'm doing this.

You all a just bunch of idiots. "

He glared at her and Melanie sighed.

Ryler was quiet all those while and just looked.

"see..  Calm down dear.  It won't hurt you, let's go. "

Melanie said to her and hold her shoulders as we continued.

The crew walled for a long time and soon approached a huge black mahogany tree.

It was really the tallest tree Melanie had ever seen.

She could not even see the top of the tree no matter how hard she looked.

She badly wanted to fly but then it was the last thing to do now.

The place was just too dark that it would blind someone right away.

And there were really tall trees and smoke everywhere to blind your eyes more.

It was a no go option.

The vampire stood and placed his hands on the tree as his hands glowed and changed colour.

The other three stood besides him.

"it's the gateway..  We have to pass here first! "

The vampire muttered and started saying some incoherent words.

Suddenly his eyes glowed red and he was pushed back by a heavy force.

He struggled to balance well but fell down to the floor.

He immediately started to vomit blood.

He looked brazed.

And frightened.

"run! "

He snapped at the other three who just stood there Confused and not able to do anything.

"get the f*ck out of here! "

He yelled again and struggled to his feet and he took to his heels backwards.

But before he could even go far or any of the three could comprehend a thing they were surrounded by a black thick mist,all of them went blind for minutes.

By the time the mist cleared and they could see faintly they were already surrounded by more than twenty women in black dressing.

All of the women had their heads bowed and covered in thick black hoods.

Their body too was covered in a long black rope.

"how dare you intrude and try to go through the gateway of the immortal world!  Your wish for dead has being granted! "

The women said in the same tone at the same time.

Their voice were the same too.

Melanie's breath hitched.
