Chapter 36.

     * * Melanie's POV***

"why isn't he waking up? "

I asked for the umpteenth time as my face was filled with worry and fear.

Fears of loosing my precious mate, I managed to leave the damn evil forest with the unconscious Ryker a few hours ago.

I was able to locate the immortal city after a very difficult time.

"don't worry dear.  He'll wake up in less than an hour and your also very exhausted and over worked my dear.  I think you should take a rest.

The Vampire is trying to stall the cave for the moment before you fully recover to enter it. "

Grand mother muttered and used a white napkin to wipe my face clean.

"where the fuck has that evil vampire being huh! "

I snapped with bloodshot eyes.

"manners girl.  You can't talk of your great grand uncle like that! "

Grandma snapped.

I've never seen her have such a fierce and domineering gaze,it sent chills down my spine.

"he knew very well that this damn place is dangerous, why did he bring us in and then throw us all in different directions.  My mate almost got killed because of the damn old man! "

I growled at her, I wasn't gonna keep quiet just because she warned me not to speak.

"it wasn't him who threw you to different directions.  That's how it happens when humans break  into the world of the dead immortals.

You are still alive and you need to leave this place in the next twenty four hours or else the torn net between the immortal and the mortal world will be torn and left open forever and the demons and witches can come in without justified entrance agreement.

And you know what will happen that happens.  This world will totally be completely lost and all beings will suffer from it.  It will lead to a huge lost in lives.

So if your unable to leave in the next twenty four hours I would have to kill you myself!"

She snapped and I looked at her with shock.

The whole thing she was just explaining was something I couldn't comprehend at all.

"isn't the land of the immortal supposed to be really beautiful next to non?  Why is it this so damn dangerous and spoky?"

Lulu asked.

Even I too was confused.

"this sure is the immortal land but this is just the border between the immortal and mortal world.

Of course demons will roam here.

Only demons and troubled souls who have not yet complete the task given to them before they died will remain here.

The immortal world is still far from here and is bigger than you can imagine. "

She said and stood up.

"does that mean you haven't completed the tasl given to you? What exactly didn't you complete? "

I couldn't help but ask her.

She was going to walk out of the tenth when she stopped at the entrance.

"I am supposed to be the ones doing your job but I failed.  All I was able do is spend the rest of my life in a desert to make you who you are.

I haven't completed my task yet and can't cross over to the real Immortal world, my fate in this world counts on you.

If you fail me then I won't be able to return.

I will be left locked out here in this dangerous part of the world.

Those monsters who harmed your mate ain't just demons for nothing.

They failed to do their job and got casted out here. They don't have anything to do so they turned bad.

So am begging you to please do this for the little respect you have left for me.. "

She cooed and finally left.

I sighed and buried my head in my palms.

What's was going on?

My head was literally spinning in twos and I was getting a really hard head ache.

Lulu rubbed my back to help soften down my nervousness which helped.

"what's this all we've gotten ourselves into lulu? Their gonna kill us if we don't leave here in one day. "

I said and she sighed.

Luckily Ryker was able to wake up an hour later and his wounds have healed up to a pint were he is now strong to fight.

It was a big relieve to me who had my hopes high for him to heal in time.

"why don't you stay back this one alpha. Lulu and I can go to the cave alone and get his body,your still weak."

I cooed and touched his cheeks and he looked at me with cold gaze.

"I get it that you feel bad and sorry for me which is an offence to me but I can handle it.  You don't have to treat me like a baby.."

His voice was gruffy and deep and he had a piercing gaze on.

I was literally hurt by what he just said and I frowned and let go of his face standing up.

"seriously...

Am I an obstacle to you now? I should stop treating you like a baby?

Your really one ungrateful brat.

I have risked my life more than three times to save your ass,if I hadn't come last night then that monster would have eaten you alive!
