Felix was also taken aback to hear the news. Thinking back, he had only met the Oasis Clinic chief just a while ago. He was honest and looked like he would do well in business and managing money. 

How could he just die in the blink of an eye? 

“Did he die of an illness or other causes?” Felix asked. 

If someone had poisoned him, that meant the rebellion in Dragon Alliance was so serious that they would dare to kill the chief. It was evident that they were unscrupulous with their 

ways now. 

Kane shook his head. 

“I don’t know. Mr. Zeller, the vice leader wants me to go over at once. I think he needs me to stand in as the temporary chief.” 

In Dragon Alliance, it was challenging for someone to be promoted from a regular member to a deputy chief, let alone be promoted to chief from deputy chief. 

Kane knew he shouldn’t be the next in line between himself and the other deputy chief. Maybe it was because the news that the Dragon Lord had returned had already spread among the rest of the members.

Sam watched everything from the side. His brows furrowed every now and then. Ever if Felix were related to Kane, it just didn’t make sense for someone of Kane’s age to be talking to Felix in such a polite manner.
