Sasha was dumbfounded. Her mind went completely blank. 

She couldn’t grasp why Hugo not only acted like he knew Felix but also didn’t cause him any trouble. He even had a smile on his face. That was utterly baffling. She wondered if Hugo was being careful because Felix was known to be a strong fighter. 

However, as soon as that thought crossed her mind, she dismissed it. 

The Lambert family was powerful and prestigious in Avesburgh, far beyond what the Cameron family could compare to. There was no way Hugo would be intimidated by someone just because they were good at martial arts. 

“You should use your time to do something worthwhile.” 

After saying that, Felix left. He needed to find Wendy. 

Sasha stared blankly at his departing figure, and a terrifying thought suddenly crossed her mind. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Felix might be a successful person. 

“No! That can’t be!” Sasha gritted her teeth and stomped her foot in frustration. She had to figure out the reason behind Hugo’s behavior, or she’d never have peace of mind1 

In a room within the manor, Felix and Wendy were waiting for someone. 

“Felix, that man is Gilbert, a businessman from Avesburgh. He runs several factories and is worth close to hundreds of millions of dollars,” Wendy said. 

Felix frowned. “If that’s the case, your dad should have absolute dominance over him. Was he not successful?” 

Wendy nodded and replied, “Yes. Normally, a person like Gilbert would go to great lengths to find an opportunity to connect with our family. He was indeed like that initially, but his attitude shifted entirely when Lovefruit was mentioned.” 

“Understood. Leave it to me,” Felix reassured. 

Shortly after, a middle–aged man with a slightly balding head walked in. “Ms. Kinsley, is there something you need from me?” 

It was obvious that the person was Gilbert Murphy. His attitude toward Wendy revealed the difference in their social status. 

“This is Felix Zeller. In fact, he’s the one interested in the Lovefruit you have.” Wendy went straight to the point. 

Felix promptly chimed in, “Mr. Murphy, name your terms. If you really have Lovefruit, I’m willing to agree to anything.” 

Upon hearing that, Gilbert frowned. However, with Wendy around, he didn’t dare to overreact. He could only give a wry smile and say, “Ms. Kinsley, Mr. Zeller, I really don’t have the Lovefruit. I’ve already said this many times.” 

Based on his intuition, Felix was certain that Gilbert possessed it. 

“How about this? Since you’re unwilling to reveal the reason and Lovefruit is such a rare herb, it must be for treating someone, right? I’m a traditional medicine practitioner. I’ll solve your problem, and you’ll give me Lovefruit,” Felix suggested. 

Gilbert remained silent, but his gaze expressed undeniable skepticism.
