She walked towards them confidently, causing their irritation to spiral into panic. They pushed each other, scrambling into a corner. Back at the sink, Shakira picked up the crumpled paper left behind. 

Then she looked at them lazily, her eyelashes fluttering slightly as if mocking. Realization dawned on the women, their expressions twisted in horror. “Shakira, you tricked us!” 

Shakira found their predicament amusing. “You chose to be fools; that’s not my problem.” 

Before they could protest, Shakira pulled out her phone and waved it. “I recorded everything you said,” she warned. “If you keep this up, I’ll send it to Charles. If you’re so bored, I’ll help you find something to do.” 

The women were frozen, their hair standing on end. They could only stare as Shakira walked out. Silence filled the room, thickening the tension. Shakira opened her phone, smirking at the blank screen. 

When she sat at her desk, she felt sharp gazes on her back, like tiny needles. Unbothered, she started typing her password and got to work. 

Soon, people from marketing rushed to the office entrance, murmurings filling the air. “Brian is here!” 

“Wow, I heard about that intern who got in through connections, Brian cleared things up in finance that afternoon. Is he here for that?”
