After Brian discovered her secret, Jessica had planned to cut back on her visits to Wesley. But her condition wouldn’t allow it.

She managed to stay away for just one day before the nightmares returned, keeping her awake all night.

The next morning, she showed up at the office sporting dark circles under her eyes.

Jessica barely made it to quitting time before she started packing her things, ready to go find Wesley for that conversation.

But just as she was about to leave, the front desk called, “Mr. Grant, Mr. Wesley Finch is here to see you. Should I send him up?”

Jessica felt surprised–she hadn’t expected Wesley to appear at the company looking for her. “Alright, send him up.”

Though puzzled, she couldn’t turn him away now that he was here, especially since he hadn’t done anything to offend her.

After instructing the receptionist, Jessica thought about Sana’s feelings for Wesley. She decided to call her to meet him at the elevator.

Jessica had specifically briefed Sana and assumed it was that critical client coming up, However, Wesley stepped out in casual clothes when the elevator doors opened.

Wesley looked as effortlessly handsome as ever, that same charming smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

Sana lost herself for a moment before quickly snapping back to reality.

“What are you doing here? Is it about Jessi’s condition?” She caught sight of nearby colleagues and immediately cut herself off.

“I’ll take you to see Jessi.” Her tone turned strictly professional as she spun around and headed down the hallway.

Wesley quickened his pace to catch up with her, stepping beside her. He deliberately moved closer and whispered, “Don’t worry–it’s not getting worse.”

Sana breathed a sigh of relief, then quietly stepped to the left to distance themselves. Her tone turned noticeably cold. “Mr. Finch, please keep your distance.”

Wesley’s steps faltered. “Mr. Finch? I thought we were close.”

Sana’s expression didn’t change immediately, her voice growing even more distant. “You’re joking. We graduated years ago. Calling you first name now would just look like I’m trying to play up our connection.”

Wesley smiled, “So why didn’t you think that before?”

“I was immature back then. Do you need me to apologize?” Sana replied without hesitation.

She stopped walking and made a show of preparing to bow in apology.

Wesley immediately stepped forward, moving ahead of her. “No need. I don’t mind if you keep being immature now.”

The comment was definitely flirtatious, and Sana’s heart skipped a beat. ‘Was Wesley actually hitting on me?‘

But she quickly snapped back to reality, mentally scolding herself, ‘Way to be full of yourself.‘

Sana said, “Well, I can’t do that. I’m working now–I can’t afford to be immature anymore.”

After saying this, Sana stopped walking and pointed to the office ahead. “We’re here. Jessi’s inside. You can go in by yourself.”

She started to leave, but Wesley called out to stop her, “Wait–aren’t you coming with me?”

Sana looked utterly bewildered, “Why would I need to stay with you? You’re here to see Jessi, not me.”

Wesley’s gaze fixed on her intently. “What makes you think I’m not here for you?”
