Hera's heart melted at Dora's adorableness. "At times like this, you must speak softly so that your brother doesn't hear."

Dora rushed to cover Dylan's ears. "Dyl, you didn't hear anything just now."

Dylan couldn't understand how he ended up with such a silly sister. But considering they came from the same womb, if he didn't indulge her, no one else would.

Bernard, who had just finished packing their things, watched the interaction with glee. Hera's smile especially tugged at his heartstrings. It was the most genuine smile she had shown since being hospitalized.

"I want to eat too," Bernard stepped forward.

"Daddy, I made an omelet for you! I asked Adeline to bring it. Adeline, quickly bring the omelet I made for Daddy," Dora called out.

Adeline hurried in with a lunchbox. "This is from the kids, Mr. Killian."

Just as Bernard was about to accept it, Dylan chimed in, "He's not even hospitalized. Why does he get to eat?"

Dylan sure wasn't as cute as Dora.

Hera had noticed that Dylan seemed to have some resentment toward Bernard. Unlike Dora, Dylan wasn't as attached to Bernard. From a young age, he wasn't curious about who his father was, nor did he constantly talk about finding him like Dora did.

Now that he had met his father, he remained cold and distant.

Hera had no intention of getting involved in their relationship. That was something Bernard and Dylan would have to work out on their own.

Bernard cleared his throat. "There was a rare mineral discovered in Astenia, and he volunteered to go."

Then, he turned to Dora. "Who told you he was in Astenia?"

"Mr. Copley posts about it on social media every day. Daddy, don't you check your social media?" Dora asked.

What was the point of checking social media? It was a waste of time.

"Since there's internet there, the place isn't as bad as you think," Bernard said.

Hera sighed to herself. Well, Bernard was the boss. Whatever he said went.
