Helen nodded. After they got out of the car, they walked side by side to the building and got upstairs in the elevator.

Helen opened the door and stood aside. "Come in."

Chandler followed her closely into the unit.

At that moment, Helen wasn't terrified anymore, and she became calmer than usual. After getting rid of the initial shock, she was able to calm herself down.

"How… How did you know something had happened to me?"

After a long while, Helen finally asked her question.

Chandler told her the truth. "I noticed you hadn't returned, so I gave you a call. However, your phone was turned off, so I asked Adrian about it…" Then, he gave a simple explanation about what happened next.

After Helen heard his story, she just nodded faintly and stopped asking about it.

"Thank you. If you didn't show up in time, I couldn't imagine what would've happened…"

Chandler approached her and grabbed her hand. "That's why it's dangerous for you to stay out here alone. Why don't you consider moving back?"

Helen rejected the suggestion without even thinking about it. "There's no need for that. I'll be more careful in the future and I won't let this happen again."

Chandler knew that would be her answer, so he had already made his arrangements.

"Since that's your decision, I'll respect it. It's getting late, so you should prepare for bed now."

Helen looked at the clock on the wall, and it was already midnight. It sure was late, so she said to Chandler, "You should quickly get home and rest as well."

"What's wrong? Do you want to take a look at your new neighbor's house?"

Helen was instantly surprised. She couldn't contain the glee in her heart. "Why… Why did you move out as well?"

Chandler smiled and helplessly explained, "Because my girlfriend wanted to stay here. Since I was worried about her being alone, I decided to move here and keep her company."

Chandler reached out and patted her head. Then, he asked again, "Are you sure you don't want to take a look?"
