Helen smiled. She held Chandler's hand on her shoulder and nodded earnestly. "I will."

"Really?" Chandler looked at her in surprise. "You really agree to marry me? No more probation?"

"Did you want me to reject your proposal?" Helen joked.

"Of course not," Chandler said, sweeping her off her feet.

Before Helen realized it, she was already on the bed.

Chandler was just about to take her shirt off when he jerked to a stop suddenly and sat up. He stared at Helen's flushed face. He really wanted to be intimate with her, but he couldn't.

The last time was an accident. After that time, he'd swore that he would never have sex with her at the spur of the moment. She deserved to be bedded properly.

"Not now," he said. "We'll have plenty of time in the future."

Then, he straightened Helen's clothes and got off the bed. "I'll wait for you outside."

Worried that Helen might get embarrassed, he opened the door and exited the room.

Once he left, Helen sat up from the bed. She covered her face, which was burning with embarrassment, as she recalled the heated moment earlier.

She would've had sex with him if he really wanted it. However, the fact that he had held back earlier warmed her heart. Her bitter mood turned sweet.

She straightened her clothes and hair, calming herself down as she did so.

Her identity as Bianca Boston was now publicly known. She could not just sit around and wait for trouble to find her.

Even if Helen did not show any intention to fight for the Boston inheritance, Faye still wouldn't allow her to stick around. Helen had to think of a way to deal with her.

She knew that Helen would not be able to get used to her touch, as she wasn't yet used to the idea of having Melody as her mother.

She didn't mind that. She was willing to wait.

After all those years of waiting, what was a few more months? As long as her Bianca was safe and healthy, she was willing to wait for as long as it took.

A smile tugged at Helen's lips at the sight of Melody's self-restraint. She could tell that her mother was incredibly happy right now. The relationship between mother and daughter was truly amazing.

Maybe having a mother and an alternate identity wasn't as bad as she'd thought.

What happened had happened anyway. She couldn't change the past, so all she could do was accept it.

That night, all of them had dinner together.
