Helen removed her bracelet and sent an SOS signal to Taylor.

After sending the message, she carefully assessed her surroundings. When the man outside grew drowsy, Helen picked up the thickest wooden stick she could find.

She slipped out of the wooden hut and struck him with the wooden stick. The man had no time to react before falling to the ground unconscious.

Helen quickly made her way down the mountain.

Chandler, Jenson, and their team were preparing to ascend the mountain. Chandler had studied Lunar Peak's terrain and knew there were only two paths to the mountaintop. One was the winding main road, and the other was a smaller path on the back of the mountain.

"Jenson, you go up along the main road, and I'll take the path at the back. We'll meet at the mountaintop. There's no signal in these mountains, so If anything unexpected happens, we'll use fireworks instead."

"Alright, Chandler. Please stay safe."

They agreed and split up to carry out their plan.

The night was freezing, and Helen was trembling. However, she continued running downhill. Perhaps her urgency caused her to lose focus for a moment. Her foot slipped, and she tumbled along the mountain path. Fortunately, a large tree prevented her from falling right off the cliff.

Helen lay on the ground, gasping for breath. She gazed at the bright moonlight. Just as she was about to get up, she faintly heard the sound of approaching footsteps.

Her heart skipped a beat. She quickly held her breath, trying to be as quiet as possible.

"Mr. Chandler, it's cold at night. Please put on this coat." One of his subordinates offered a coat, but Chandler declined.

"I'm fine. You should look after yourself. How far are we from the mountaintop?"

"We've already covered two-thirds of the distance. About one-third remains, but the higher we go, the tougher the terrain gets. We need to be careful."

"I understand. Everyone stay safe."

Only then, did Helen finally believe that Chandler was really here. She subconsciously shook her head.

"Let me help you up."

Helen nodded, but her body staggered as she attempted to stand. Chandler reacted swiftly, catching her just in time.

"Are you okay?"

In his arms with her face pressed against his chest, Helen could hear the steady beat of his heart.

Realizing how close they were, she immediately pushed him away. "My leg hurts a little from the fall but I'm fine. I was just a little unsteady on my feet just now."

Chandler hesitated, then effortlessly lifted her into his arms.
