Feeling the extreme contempt, Jenson turned to Chandler helplessly. "Chandler, your wife looks down on me!"

"Should she think highly of you?" Chandler asked.

"Certainly!" Jenson puffed up his chest.

Chandler gave him a pathetic gaze before heading toward the kitchen.

Feeling frustrated, Jenson had his last hope on Bernard as he looked over silently.

Bernard instantly raised his hands to surrender. "It's none of my business. I still have an operation. I'm leaving."

He then escaped quickly.

"Hey! Hey! You have yet to tell me why Jim came!" Jenson shouted, but Bernard was already out of sight.

Sighing in despair, he went over to the kitchen. He narrowed his eyes and stood beside Chandler at the door of the kitchen.

"Chandler, is Helen making lunch for you?" Jenson asked nosily.

Chandler glared at him like he was an idiot. Helen was right about Jenson's low intelligence. With such a strong smell of herbs, how did he deduce that Helen was making lunch?"

Jenson was perplexed as to why he was despised again when he had done nothing.

While he was wondering, Helen came out with a mug and pushed it toward Chandler. "Finish it."

Chandler couldn't help frowning when he lowered his head and saw the weird-smelling dark liquid in the mug.

But he knew he couldn't turn it down when he saw Helen's expression. He silently took the mug, held his breath, and gulped it down.

Just as he finished it, Helen took the mug from him. She turned to the back and called Carles.

Both of them slept through the entire night.

"Who did it?" Jenson was roused by Bernard's cry the next day and hurried downstairs before he could even put on his shoes.

"What happened?"

Bernard sat on the sofa with Chandler's changed gauze in his hand, pointing at the scabbed wound.

"I was only away for a night, and his wound is already healed. Who has such remarkable medical skills? I'd like to be their apprentice and learn from them!"

Jenson sat on the step of the staircase and sneered, "I thought it was something else."

"Excuse me." Helen walked past and gave Jenson a kick as she headed downstairs, scratching her head. Her eyes barely opened, and she grumbled irritably, "What's with the noise? I was sleeping!"

Chandler nudged Bernard's leg with his knee and pointed at Helen with his chin. "Your mentor is here."
