"What?" Kendrick's eyes widened in disbelief. "Why, Ms. Spencer? This is the sixth version already. Ms. Snow and I both thought it was perfect."

Helen lowered her eyes, exasperated. "Because you got the sign wrong. The 'C' should be Chandler's 'C', not one with a cedilla!"

After sitting by the table for a moment, Helen called Snow for a video chat.

"How did you get my number?" Helen demanded.

"I have my ways," Otto replied with a smirk in his voice.

"Cut the crap. What do you want?" Helen's voice was icy.

"Ms. Boston, you're getting more aggressive. But I like you just the way you are. Actually, I've got a gathering coming up, and I need a female companion to attend. I was wondering if you'd be willing to help me out?"
