Unwanted Wife novel Chapter 18

Jewel and Cain quickly finished their meal because none of them spoke.

They are now on the sofa and sitting side by side, Cain continues to watch tv while Jewel is holding her phone as if it were flashing.

"Did you tell Calliyah everything?" Cain asked suddenly

"Yes, she knows I'm here in Canada and I'm with you, she really wanted to come here but she couldn't because Dark is always with her."

"Dark has no plans of letting your friend go." He laughing

"Because your friend is stupid. He will hurt my best friend and then chase her." I said 

"But look at them now, they got back together."

She just shrugged his shoulders and continued what he was doing, later he also watched tv.

As they focused on watching tv, Cain's phone suddenly rang, he immediately got it and looked at who the caller was. 

Jewel saw the young man look at her and she raised her eyebrow at him.

"Dark, why did you call?" Cain suddenly spoke

Jewel immediately turned her gaze to him when she heard the caller's name.

"I'm not there right now, I'm on a business trip." he even heard the young man say that which made him even more curious.

Dark POV

I didn't see Cain for a couple of months. I wondered where he was so I tried to call him .

"Have you talked to Thunder? I can't find him. Do you know where he is?" I asked him

"We haven't talked to him, I haven't been home yet. Why are you asking me that? You're the one in the Philippines." Cain replied

"Ayts! I don't have any news about the two of you! You're both missing in action." I said

"Wait, what? What do you mean missing in action? Where's Thunder?" Cain asked in a fit of confusion.

"I don't know! I don't even know where he is, he's not in the company. Tito is in charge there right now." I said in an irritation voice

"Do you know where he is?" He asked again

"Would I ask you if I know? Jerk! Probably not! Tito said he was on a vacation, but didn't say where." I exclaimed

"Maybe he's  just stressed at work, let him rest. He'll come back soon"

"So, that's the only reason why I called you. Come back soon here! I don't have anyone to drink with." I said

He just laughed before turning off the call.

It's annoying that my friends suddenly disappear without saying goodbye.

On the other hand, just as Cain dropped his phone, Jewel just stared at him.

"What's with that look?" He asked

"Why did Dark call you? What did he say?"
