Unwanted Wife novel Chapter 19

The young man Cain happily returned to the condo unit because besides buying medicine, he found a stuffed toy and bought it to give to his friend Jewel because it is one of her favorites.

When he arrived at the unit, he first put down the girl's stuffed toy and went straight to the kitchen to prepare soup for the girl so that she could eat it before taking the medicine. He didn't last long because he just bought ready to cook soup.

When it had boiled he quickly transferred it to a bowl and placed it on the tray along with a glass of pineapple juice and medicine. He slowly brought it to the girl's room because they did not know if it was awake or asleep.

When he arrived at the room, he first laid the tray containing food and medicine on the small table.

"Jew is awake, I prepared a soup for you to eat first before taking medicine to fill your stomach." he said while sitting on the bed

But he never heard any response from it. He moved a little further to reach it when he noticed something, he quickly removed the blanket and saw that only the pillow was there and the friend was not there.

He immediately stood up and looked around because he thinks Jewel is playing a trick on him. He waited a few more minutes but no image of Jewel came out. He glanced at the comfort room and walked closer to it.

He tried to open the door but it's locked. He called his friend's name several times but he didn't get an answer, his chest was covered with nervousness. He knocked on the door several more times and dared his friend to come out but nothing happened.

He ran out of the room to get the duplicate key of the comfort room and when he saw it he quickly went back to Jewel's room. His hands were almost shaking as he opened the locked door.

When he opened it and saw his friend lying on the floor unconscious, he noticed that the skin of the girl turned pale so Cain was even more scared.

"Hey Jew, wake up! Don't scare me like this. It's not funny." he said as he patted her cheek.

He quickly picked up the girl and hurried out of their condo unit. The people he meets are almost looking at them because maybe they are wondering what happened, fortunately there are staff of the condo building who also helped and called an ambulance.

His chest almost throbbed with fear as they were in the ambulance to the hospital, he was holding the hand of the girl who was almost emaciated and her skin was pale.

They quickly reached the hospital and immediately rushed the girl to the emergency room.

The young man walked back and forth as he waited outside the emergency room. He did not know what to do at those times especially since his friend was on the brink of death.

He just sat in the empty seat as fear continued to build in his chest, he did not know what really happened.

It almost took how many hours but the doctor who was taking care of Jewel still didn't come out so the young man felt even more nervous because of this.
