At that moment, Jessica was indeed at the Grover House.

“You do remember I’m Jessica?” Jessica smiled. “I thought you saw me as nothing more than a thief.”

Carole stammered, “You… who knows what you are? You…”

“Everyone, listen closely.” Jessica raised her voice, “Your mistress knows full well. I am Jessica Yates, the legitimate daughter of the Yates family. She said it herself. If anyone dares lay a hand on me as if I’m some thief, go ahead and try it.”

“Who do you think you are to…” Carole was livid, teeth clenched. “When I came to your place, you treated me like a thief and had your men beat me up!”

Jessica spread her hands. “Because you carried a knife when you came to our place. I’m not carrying any weapons now, am I?”

Carole was at a loss for words, unable to argue back.

By then, Jessica had already walked right up to them. She was about to collide with the group of guards.

Jessica sneered. “The legitimate daughter of the Yates family is here to visit Mrs. Alivia. I’d love to see who dares touch me.”

The guards were so startled that they scrambled out of the way.

Only Carole remained, still blocking the path./
