Of the Free Collection stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is When Petals Meet The Blade (Priscilla and Waldo). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to My Blood 228. Let's read the author's When Petals Meet The Blade (Priscilla and Waldo) Free Collection story right here.

Chapter 228
Chapter 228
Jessica was about to say something when she suddenly discovered a virtue in the “Demon King” that no one else seemed to notice.
Whenever anger began to rise in him, he would consciously talk himself down, reminding himself to stay calm and cherish the moment. That was a good thing. Even she couldn’t do that.
“Your Highness, are you always this tolerant with everyone?” she asked.
“Tolerant?” The word felt foreign to Leon Francis.
Leon thought to himself, “What is tolerance?” When people mention Prince Leon, words like “ruthless,” “tyrannical,” and “bloodthirsty” come to mind more readily. “But Jessica sees me as a tolerant man,” Leon thought.
Leon’s mood suddenly brightened. Looking down at the military strategy book in Jessica‘ hand, he said with a confident smile, “I’ve read this one. Ask me anything about it. I’ll explain it all to you.”
“You’ve read it already?” Jessica tilted her head and glanced at him, a hint of disbelief in her eyes.
Leon Francis said, “Of course. I’ve studied all the great military treatises, ancient and modern. Back when I was stationed on the Northern Frontier, during lulls between battles, I spent my time either practicing martial arts or reading.”
Life was unbearably dull, but just thinking about seeing his Jessica again back in the capital made even the most tedious days feel meaningful.
“This one’s rather mediocre, Jessica. But I’ve got the ‘War King Trilogy‘ in my study. Wanna take a look?”
“The War King?” Jessica’s eyes lit up, unable to conceal her excitement. “You mean the legendary War King from the Fourteen Kingdoms era?”
“Exactly,” Leon Francis said.
“But wasn’t it said that those three manuscripts were originally kept in the palace, and then disappeared?” Jessica asked. She had sent Waldo to look for them countless times, but he always came back empty–handed.
She even checked with Andrew about them later, only to find the books had vanished long ago.
Leon grinned, “There are only three copies in the world. All irreplaceable. Naturally, they vanished the moment I swiped them!”
“What?” Jessica knelt up abruptly, glaring at him. “So it was you all along!”
“Leon, you’re absolutely wicked!” Jessica pouted. “All I wanted was a quick look. Just one proper read–through would’ve been enough to satisfy me. Unbelievable! Not content with just reading them, you actually had to steal them too. So greedy! That’s too much!”
“If I like something, I’ll make it mine. Like you.”
“You rascal!”
“Want to read them? Then beg this scoundrel first,” he teased. “Otherwise, I’ll burn it before you even get a peek.”
“Don’t you dare! The King will have your head!” Jessica gasped. “You’re so reckless. Have you no fear of death?”
Leon Francis was utterly unafraid. “Then I’ll just flee back to the Northern Frontier. Let’s see who dares come after me there. It’s my turf!”
Retreat when outmatched. That was straight from the War King’s playbook. A real man knows when to yield and when to stand firm.
Leon grinned. “Don’t worry. If I have to run, ll just put you to sleep and take you with me.” He wasn’t joking in the slightest.
Jessica suddenly sensed sincerity in his words, and in that moment, she began to reevaluate the man beside her. She looked up, just wanting to catch the mood in his eyes at that moment.
