Chapter 32

Jessica was sipping her coffee.

Despite the rumors swirling around her, she remained calm and composed, her graceful demeanor flawless. She gave off an air of dignified serenity that no one could fault.

Just as she set the cup down, a sudden smack echoed through the airsomeone had slapped her cup off the table, shattering it.

Coffee splashed everywhere, causing the young lady sitting next to her to gasp and quickly step back.

Jessica, what do you think you’re doing?Priscilla stood over her, glaring down from above.

Jessica slowly raised her eyes to meet hers. At first glance, her expression seemed calm, but the longer you looked, the more you could feel an undercurrent of intense emotionlike a storm beneath a tranquil surface.

Priscilla felt an instinctive urge to step back.

That night, she hadn’t been able to see clearly, and she still wasn’t sure if it was Jessica’s doing. But Waldo had assured her time and again that they had known each other since childhood, and that Jessica didn’t know martial arts.

Priscilla had finally accepted that explanation, convinced that a hidden expert had struck on Jessica’s behalf that night.

But now, seeing Jessica acting so calculated and manipulative, she couldn’t help but realize that the woman was capable of setting such a scene herself -her methods were despicable.

Miss Mcbride, what’s wrong with me?Jessica blinked, her long lashes fluttering as she looked at her with innocence, her expression pure and unassuming.

Priscilla’s stomach churned with disgust.

Waldo has never touched you, and yet you’re spreading rumors everywhere, claiming to be his woman! Jessica, how low can you go?

Waldo has never touched Jessica? The people around them, each with their own thoughts, watched intently.

Jessica acted as if she hadn’t heard the whispers around her. She kept looking at Priscilla with a slight smile and said, My relationship with His Highness is none of your business.

Do you dare confront him in front of everyone?Priscilla pressed.

At those words, Jessica’s expression flickered for a brief moment.

Priscilla saw it clearly. She’s guilty, she thought, feeling a surge of anger. There was nothing she despised more than women like Jessica.

Let’s go! Today, I’ll make sure you clear this up in front of everyone!Priscilla grabbed Jessica’s wrist and yanked her up with ease.

She really doesn’t know martial arts!Priscilla thought with growing confidence, remembering how she had been ambushed by a hidden expert that night. Today, though, she doubted anyone would come to Jessica’s aid.

Priscilla, what are you doing? Let go of me!Jessica cried out, panic evident in her voice.

Priscilla laughed coldly. I’m going to make sure everyone sees your true, hypocritical face.”

Priscilla, this is the palace! Don’t cause a scene! Let go of me!Jessica struggled harder. I’m not going, Priscilla! Let go of me! I don’t want to see him!

But the more Jessica struggled, the more Priscilla was convinced that it was all part of her scheme. She thought, If she were truly innocent, why would

she be afraid to face Waldo?
