Chapter 7
When Walde stepped out of the carriage, his hair was a bit tousled, clearly a result of his recent physical interaction with Priscila Inside
He hadn’t expected to look up and find Jessica Mtanding in the wind, watching him.
A breeen swept through the air. Jessica, dressed in white, let the wind lift her clothes, giving her an ethereal, almost otherworldly presence
In contrast, he—once carefree and charming–now felt rather disheveled, thanks to Priscilla,
He stepped down from the carriage, and Priscilla followed shortly after, flinging the carriage curtain asido,
The moment she looked up, she spotted Jessica in the distance. The sight of her breathtaking beauty made Priscilla’s expression darken.
She quickly looked away and glared at Waldo, her anger intensifying, Her smile was dripping with sarcasm. “Your beautiful lady is waiting for you, so why are you still hanging around with me?”
With that, she leapt from the carriage, her gaze full of hatred as it locked onto Jessica. “That grudge between us–mark my words, I’ll repay you for it one day! Anyone who dares cross me, Priscilla, will pay the pricel Jessica, you better watch out!”
She turned on her heel and walked away, showing no signs of hesitation.
But just as she was about to leave, Waldo moved swiftly, stepping into her path.
He grabbed her wrist, his voice laced with frustration. “The army’s journey can’t be delayed. Stop making a scene. We’ll talk when we get back to Capitalia.”
“Bastard, I’ve made myself perfectly clear!” Priscilla spat. “I’m not like Jessica. I won’t be one of those women who’d share you with someone else just for your power and status.
“If you want that kind of fake affection, go find hert Don’t keep dragging me into it”
Priscilla struggled with all her might, but she couldn’t break free from Waldo’s firm grip.
“Let go of me! Don’t touch me with the same hand you’ve touched her with!” she shouted, but Waldo didn’t loosen his hold. Enraged, Priscilla raised her hand and slapped him across the face.
The soldiers around them were stunned into silence, their breaths caught in their throats, eyes wide with disbelief. Even Monica froze, feeling a cold
shiver run down her spine.
He was, after all, the noble Prince Waldo, the King’s son. Even if Priscilla was headstrong, she should never have dared to strike him. Monica thought,
“Does she want to die?”
Waldo’s e
eyes turned bloodshot with fury, and his grip on her wrist tightened even further. “Are you looking for trouble?” he growled.
Priscilla flinched at the fury in his eyes but refused to back down, her expression filled with arrogance. “You think I’m afraid of death? Waldo, if you’re so brave, then kill me!”
But Waldo didn’t kill her. Instead, he hoisted her up and tossed her into the carriage.
Inside the carriage, the sounds of fabric tearing and her frantic screams echoed, “Waldo, what are you doing? Let go of me! Let go… you bastard!”
Outside, the soldiers kept their heads down, unwilling to meet anyone’s gaze.
The sky was still clear and bright, but the mood of the soldiers was heavy, the hearts weighed down by an unspoken tension.
They thought, Jessica is still herel She is the future princess, officially recognized by the King himself!
