Chapter 119
For Anastasia, her daily routine consisted of having three meals a day, washing and scrubbing, and taking care of household chores like a
full-time wife. After returning home, she diligently cleaned up the house and waited for her husband.
It was an endless wait.
She waited at home, waiting for her husband to come back.
She would greet him, asking whether he was tired, and gently prepare dinner for him.
Thinking about it now, she realized she used to live like a robot, not knowing how tired she was.
Anastasia sneered and reached out to help Alastor carry some groceries. But Alastor refused her help.
He insisted on carrying everything on his own.
Fortunately, there was another seat around. “Take the seat.”
Anastasia asked Alastor to sit down.
She looked as if she was going to get car sick.
Alastor was a little unhappy. “How can a gentleman sit when a woman is standing?”
Hearing that, Anastasia sat down without hesitation.
And so, Alastor stood like a resentful woman, holding bags of groceries in his hands for four stops.
When they finally got home, Alastor’s face was visibly sullen.
Anastasia took the ingredients from Alastor and silently washed the vegetables before cutting them.
“Let me try.” Alastor took the kitchen knife and wanted to cut the asparagus.
Slicing the asparagus was supposed to be an easy task. Unfortunately, Alastor wasn’t skilled at it.
After all, how could people who had never held a kitchen knife be able to cut vegetables skillfully all of a sudden?
Therefore, it was no surprise that Alastor cut himself.
Anastasia’s face darkened even more. “Will you stop making trouble? If you want to eat, get out now!”
Anastasia was a little impatient as she thought, “Is Alastor crazy today? He’s so annoying.”
Seeing Anastasia getting impatient, Alastor tapped on the table unhappily. “Were you like this previously? My hands hurt.”
Anastasia took a deep breath and gritted her teeth.
“He can do whatever he wants,” she thought.
Her phone on the dining table suddenly rang. It was Jason.
