During their four-year marriage, Anastasia had given up on everything to be Alastor’s dream wife.

Before getting married, he asked Anastasia what she wanted.

Anastasia said that she only wanted a home.

Alastor did give her a home and a safe harbor, as agreed.

But for the sake of their home, Anastasia nearly gave up everything she had.

She had thought that giving up on something would be directly proportional to getting another thing.

During the four years with Alastor, she almost forgot what her true self was like.

Anastasia was pathetic, poor, and pitiful. She had nothing but Alastor.

Because Alastor didn’t like her to appear publicly, her art exhibition was a charity event. She donated her paintings to maintain Alastor’s reputation.

She seemed to have nothing but the supplementary card given by Alastor.

Alastor canceling her card at this time was like putting her life on pause.

He thought he had treated her so well that she forgot everything he had given her in the past four years.

“So? Do you want me to thank you profusely or kneel to beg you?” Anastasia screamed.

She knew what Alastor meant.

past four years, he had given her a dream of leaving the slum and becoming a rich man’s wife.

She should be grateful to Alastor rather than trying to scheme against him or going against him.

On the other side of the phone, Alastor was silent.

“My dad is sick… He is undergoing emergency surgery in the operating room, waiting for me to pay the bills so he can be saved. I’ll return the money to you.” Defeated by reality, Anastasia begged Alastor.
