Chapter 74
Over the years, she had planned everything and put up with the matter gradually. She sent Meredith to prison and forced Sienna into a corner. When there was no way out for Sienna, she would naturally hand over the only evidence in her hands. That evidence was what Anastasia had dreamed of all these years.
She not only wanted to prove her innocence but also send Harold to prison.
However, Alastor, the husband she had loved so much for four years, destroyed everything she did.
“Ah!” Anastasia went mad and smashed everything inside the house.
She cried bitterly and hysterically. No one knew how broken and helpless Anastasia was
She was just practically a step away. If she was able to accomplish it, there would be no more regrets in her life. She could leave this world in peace.
“Why can’t Alastor let me achieve this last wish? Does he want me to die with regrets? How could he do that?”
Anastasia fell to the ground. Her whole body hurt so much that she curled up in pain.
Snowball hid in the corner with fear and kept meowing.
However, it was too quiet at night around the mansion. Unless there were neighbors who happened to be passing by, they couldn’t hear what had happened inside.
The pain was unbearable for Anastasia. She struggled to crawl toward the side of the table to get some painkillers.
“How could Alastor know that hone cancer is the most agonizing and hellish cancer in the world?” she thought to herself.
Enduring the pain, Anastasia trembled as she took out the painkillers.
However, as she thought of the baby in her stomach, she hesitated.
She couldn’t consume them.
Anastasia could only endure the pain until it was unbearable for her. Eventually, she slammed her head against the ground, hoping she would die instantly
“My baby… I’m worried about you coming into this world. Let’s just die together…
Anastasia muttered like a mad woman, repeating what her mother had said to her before she died.
Tears filled her eyes, irritating them.
Before she passed out, Anastasia gazed at the dark skies outside the window and finally understood her mother’s despair and emotions before her death.
She suffered from domestic violence when Anastasia was still young. Moreover, she was at the end of her life due to her terminal stage of cancer.
Anastasia’s mother didn’t want to die just like that, and she was worried about Anastasia as well.
Therefore, a terrible idea popped into her head, wanting to take the young Anastasia’s life with hers.
Even so, Anastasia didn’t hate her mother. In fact, she had never hated her mother at all.
She hated the world.
She hated Zeke
Anastasia awoke slowly the next morning when the sun shone through the window.
“Haha… I managed to survive another day. I can’t believe that I’m still alive, she mocked inwardly.
The tenacity of life only became apparent to her when her life was coming to an end.
The only reason life would be worse than death was if one were to survive forever.
