Sarah lowered her gaze, her hands gripping the hem of her clothes under the blanket. Her heart was uneasy, and for a

moment, she even felt a piercing, chilling gaze fall upon her. It made her tremble slightly. 

But it was only for a moment. 

Arthur’s deep, magnetic voice sounded. “It’s fine.” 

His tone was casual as he added, “Rest well. When your leg heals, I want to see you dance.” 

Sarah quickly looked up, a smile lighting up her face. “Okay.” 

Arthur turned and left, and there were now two bodyguards stationed at the door.

Charlotte returned to Starlight Terrace and saw Tina and Mabel playing with Lego blocks. 

“Ms. Lottie!” 

As soon as Mabel saw her, she threw the toys aside and ran over, hugging her tightly. “Are you okay? Did that evil woman give you a hard time?” 

Tina also looked at her with concern. “Charlene, are you alright?”

Tina let out a relieved sigh, patting her chest. “You scared me! I thought we were about to witness some melodramatic scene with a scumbag husband tormenting his wife for the sake of his 

mistress.” 

Charlotte laughed at her. “You read too many novels, huh?” 

Tina blinked innocently. “It’s just a little hobby, haha.” 

Charlotte said, “Come on, let’s go eat. What do you want to eat?” 

Mabel excitedly shouted, “Lobster!” 

Tina nodded, “I second that!” 

“Then it’s lobster!” 

Charlotte made the decision. The three of them went out to a highly–rated Lobster Shack, where they found a spot in the lively dining area. 

The rich, savory scent filled the air inside Lobster Shack, and Charlotte handed the menu to Tina to order while she took a moment to speak with Diana. 

When Diana picked up the phone, she immediately asked, “So much has happened. Do you think this will affect the settlement of the remaining payment?” 

Charlotte hesitated for a moment. “I don’t think so…” 

Diana’s voice was cold. “Arthur doesn’t like you, and you’ve hurt his ‘beloved.‘ He’s very likely to withhold the payment.”

Jayce stood in the doorway of Lobster Shack, his handsome face pale, devoid of expression. Yet, the beauty mark under his eye added an alluring charm. Even though his eyes showed no emotion, his presence exuded an eerie, almost sinister aura.
