Jennifer immediately said, “Arthur, did you hear that? Why haven’t you divorced her yet? Our family doesn’t accept someone like her.”
Charlotte pressed her lips together, looking at Arthur’s cold and stern face. He ignored Jennifer’s words and approached Charlotte, staring intently as he said, “You should check on Julius.”
Charlotte lowered her eyes, hiding her self–mocking gaze. She knew Arthur wouldn’t respond directly to the divorce issue.

Arthur looked at Jennifer, his brows furrowing. “Mom, are you bored with a peaceful life and looking for some excitement? Should I bring Uncle back?”
“How dare you!” Jennifer looked at Arthur in disbelief. “Arthur, didn’t you hate her? Why are you unwilling to divorce her, then? Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for her.”
“You must be joking,” Arthur replied coldly. “I just think she is a competent wife who can save me a lot of trouble.”

“Mom, you can go back now,” Arthur interjected, cutting off Jennifer.

“Arthur.” Sarah maneuvered her wheelchair closer to Arthur, looking up at him with a pale face. Tears shimmered in her eyes. “Are you not going to divorce her?”
“It’s none of your business.” A slight irritation flashed in Arthur’s eyes.
He thought, “Why does everyone want me to divorce Charlotte?
