As soon as Charlotte’s words fell, Julius, who was sitting on the floor, immediately turned to look at her. His eyes were filled with tears, and his lips were pursed, making him look wronged and pitiful. 

Julius‘ almost crying expression tugged at Charlotte’s heart. 

Charlotte felt a wave of suffocation washing over her. Her expression momentarily froze as she turned to Mabel. “Sweetheart, what exactly happened?” 

The anger disappeared from Mabel’s face, and she lowered her head. “Lottie, I’m sorry. I caused trouble.” 

Mabel hung her head in apology, her fingers twisting together, looking 

Spitiful. 

Charlotte took a step forward and asked gently, “So, what actually happened? I believe you’re not an impulsive kid.” 

Mabel looked at Charlotte, blinked her big eyes, sniffled, and said, “I wanted to watch a cartoon, but he didn’t want to watch it. He grabbed the remote control from me. I didn’t want to give it to him, so I pushed him a little…” 

Julius sat on the floor, his face tense. He had expected Mabel. to complain about him, and his heart raced, but he didn’t anticipate that Mabel would say this. 

Not just Charlotte, even the servant beside them appeared

“It’s alright. We don’t need it, okay? I’ll take you to play in the garden. There’s more fun.” 

Mabel nodded. “Okay.” 

Then, Mabel walked over to Julius and reached out a hand to help him up. 

Julius‘ body felt a bit stiff, but he didn’t push Mabel away. 

Charlotte watched, feeling something was off. 

Charlotte said to Julius, “Your body hasn’t fully recovered yet. You should rest in your room.” 

Julius kept his lips pressed tightly together. He didn’t argue and turned to go upstairs. 

Charlotte glanced at the servant and then took Mabel out of the living room. 

Mabel looked at the vast garden with wide–eyed curiosity and quickly began to explore. 

“What exactly happened?” Charlotte asked. 

The servant stood behind Charlotte and recounted the events.

He coldly looked at Mabel and said, “Get out. This is my house, and I don’t welcome you.”
