Chapter 173 My Wife 

Sebastian’s face was etched with genuine worry. “Lottie, what happened? Tell me.” 

Camille’s expression stiffened. 

Charlotte pulled her hand away and said softly, “I’m much better now.” 

She turned to Sebastian with a smile. “Seb, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.” 

But Sebastian looked at her closely. He had been away on a business trip two days ago and rushed back yesterday as soon as he heard the news, but he didn’t arrive until early this morning. Afraid of disturbing her, he hadn’t come over immediately. 

Someone had posted the dashcam footage online, and a close friend immediately sent him the video. Seeing the moment Charlotte jumped out of the car, his heart skipped a beat! 

It was Camille’s car. 

Camille was always cold to them. Something must have happened to upset Charlotte. 

Sebastian was very distraught. He reached out and ruffled her hair. “If you don’t want me to worry, tell me as soon as something happens, okay?” 

“Okay.” 

Charlotte’s smile was soft, and her clear eyes held a hint of dependence on him. 

Arthur watched the scene indifferently, a coldness flashing in his eyes. He said flatly, “Are you just here to make small talk?” 

As soon as he finished speaking, Camille said, “Lottie, you won’t be able to rest well in the hospital. Come home with me today. I’ll take care of you. You’ll be more comfortable at home.” 

Charlotte, already aware of the situation, glanced at Camille’s apprehension towards Arthur. Her eyes flickered, and she nodded. “Okay.” 

Camille said, “Sebastian, carry your sister out. I’ll handle the discharge procedures.” 

She then turned to Arthur. “Arthur, you’re so busy with work. There’s no need for you to come along. I’ll take good care of her.” 

Arthur replied coldly, “She’s my wife. I can’t bear to be away from her for even a day.” 

Camille was speechless. 

Who would believe that?! 

Still, he had already said it, so how could she refuse? 

It would make him suspicious! 

“Young love is truly something,” Camille said with a smile.

Charlotte was speechless, too. 

She shot Arthur an icy glare.

“Hey, don’t say that!” Charlotte quickly reassured him. “This has nothing to do with you. Mom said a lot of things I didn’t like, and I’m certainly not going to let this go easily. Don’t worry.” 

Sebastian ruffled her hair again. “Okay, I’ll back you up.” 

Charlotte smiled. 

Just then, Camille walked in, followed by a servant carrying a tray. “I had the kitchen stew some chicken soup,” she said. “It’s full of nourishing herbs. Have some. It’ll help you heal faster.” 

Charlotte leaned against the headboard and glanced at the soup. “Mom,” she said, “I want to drink the soup you made yourself.” 

Camille paused, a flicker of surprise crossing her face. She

Used to a life of luxury, she hated the smell of cooking oil and greasy kitchens. 

She was about to refuse when Arthur walked in. The words 

of rejection died on her lips, and she found herself agreeing, “Alright, I’ll get right on it.”
