Arthur stared at her with a serious look and suddenly said, “Give me a kiss, and I’ll let him in.”

Charlotte was shocked, clearly not expecting him to make such a request! 

A breeze brushed by, bringing a bit of coolness. Arthur stood in front of Charlotte, staring leisurely at her, one hand in his pocket, with a casual demeanor. 

Charlotte bit her lip, hesitating and struggling for quite a while, and finally closed her eyes and leaned in to kiss him. 

“I’ve already had a son with him. Just a kiss won’t kill me!” She psyched herself up. 

She was planning just to kiss him and step back, but 

unexpectedly, with a tightening at her waist, Arthur took the initiative and deepened the kiss. 

Charlotte’s body stiffened for a moment; then she began to struggle.

“Register him, please,” He said to the staff and then turned to

Charlotte rubbed her lips with the back of her hand, shot Arthur a fierce glare, and turned to walk towards the building 

After registering, Pete quickly came in. 

He looked worried, but when he saw Ava and Charlotte chatting in the living room, he instantly relaxed. 

“Ava, I’m glad to see you’re fine.” 

Ava smiled and said, “What do you think of this place? Isn’t it 

nice?” 

Pete had a complicated expression on. “Yes, not bad.” 

Ava said, “I’ve decided to live here, so you don’t have to worry about me living alone in that yard. Go and work on your shop, and carry forward your grandfather’s craftsmanship.” 

Pete nodded, “I will.” 

Ava looked at Charlotte again. “You’ve been here for several days. It’s time for you to leave. Don’t be afraid and don’t worry. I will always be your grandmother, and no one can take me from you.” 

Charlotte hugged her tightly, with an unwilling expression on her face. “But I want to stay a little longer.”

many things you will have to face next. You can’t waste time here. You can come back again when you handle everything, and don’t forget to bring Julius with you. I’m quite fond of him.”

Charlotte nodded, still refusing to let go of Ava’s hand. 

Seeing her like that, Pete lowered his gaze to conceal the emotions in his eyes. 

Ava was about to take a nap at noon, and Charlotte waited until she fell asleep before quietly leaving the room. 

She looked at Pete, smiled, and said, “I’m going back to Lanceser. When will you come? I will show you around.”

Charlotte chuckled. “Alright, I’ll wait for you.” 

As she walked out of the building, Charlotte immediately saw Jacob standing not far away. 

Seeing Jacob walking up to her, she frowned. Jacob only smiled and said, “Mrs. Harrison. Mr. Harrison is waiting for you in the 

car.” 

Charlotte looked nonchalant. “I won’t ride with him.‘”

Pete drove Charlotte to the airport. When she boarded the plane and saw Arthur sitting next to her, she instantly understood why Jacob hadn’t strongly insisted that she join him. 

It turned out Arthur was waiting for her on the plane. 

Charlotte sat down, adjusted her seat, put on her eye mask, and began to rest, completely cold–shouldering Arthur. 

Arthur watched her doing all that, inexplicably finding her cute, and a faint smile appeared on his face.
