Chapter 345 Is That Mabel’s Father? 

Evie watched as they left, then turned and walked toward the elevator. The waiter beside her was still gossiping, but she wasn’t in the mood to listen. She’d had a bit too much to drink tonight, and even with Charlotte’s special fragrance, her mind was still foggy.

The elevator doors opened, and she stepped inside, waving dismissively at the attendant. “Alright, you can go now. Get back to work.” 

“Sure, Ms. Clarke.” 

As the doors slowly closed, Evie leaned against the side of the elevator, massaging her temples. It was already late, and she knew Mabel was definitely asleep by now. 

Soon, the elevator doors opened again. She walked out without checking the environment and followed the familiar path. But then, she realized something wasn’t quite right. 

“Huh?” she thought, full of confusion. 

“Where is the expensive potted plant by my door? 

It is gone!”

A puzzled look crossed her flushed face as she glanced around. After a moment, she realized she had gotten off on the wrong 

floor! 

She slapped her forehead, muttering to herself, “I knew it! I shouldn’t have drunk so much. What a stupid mistake!” 

She turned and headed back toward the elevator. 

But as she passed a private room, the door suddenly opened, and a man was kicked out, stumbling straight into her. 

Evie let out a startled “Ouch!” as she was thrown against the wall, pain shooting through her back. She furrowed her brow, unable to suppress the discomfort. 

“What the hell?!” 

Her irritation boiled over, and she turned to shout toward the open door, “If you want to make trouble, take it outside! No troublemaking allowed here, or I’ll call the cops!” 

The pain was enough to drain the color from her face, especially in her left shoulder. She pressed a hand to it, inhaling sharply from the sharp sting. 

The man who had been kicked out was lying unconscious on the floor like a ragdoll. 

“Mr. Mendez, do you want us to deal with him?” 

A cold, detached voice rang out.

His black shirt and tall stature exuded an air of mystery and danger, enhanced by the mask that shrouded his identity.

But she had never thought she would meet him here. 

After four years, she thought she’d never see him again. 

“Miss, are you alright?” 

While she was still stunned, the man had already approached her, his eyes filled with concern and worry. 

Evie shivered involuntarily. She pressed her sore shoulder, trying to calm herself and act as normal as she could. She furrowed her brows and asked, “What are you doing?”
