Julius started to panic. Even though he was more mature than most kids his age, he was still just a child, and he couldn’t tell that Sarah was faking her lears. 

Flustered, he quickly handed her a tissue. “Ms. Miller, I’m really sorry. I just wanted to clear things up with you. I don’t want you to misunderstand, and I definitely don’t want my parents to get divorced.” 

Sarah took the tissue and wiped her eyes, but when her head dropped slightly, there was a cold, calculating look in her eyes. 

Internally, she cursed, “This brat! 

I’ve been so nice to him, and this is how he repays me? 

What a little ingrate!” 

She quickly composed herself, letting out a shaky breath and giving him a soft smile. “It’s okay. I’m not upset with you, but you’ve used me to get to your goal, and you owe me an apology. You’ve got to show me that you’re sincere.” 

Julius nodded earnestly. “Ms. Miller, I’ll do whatever it takes to make it right.” 

Sarah smiled faintly, gently ruffling his hair. “What can I even ask of you? I really like you, you know? If you were my son, I’d

Julius‘ heart softened. In his eyes, Sarah had always been kind to him. 

She handed him a bottle. “This is a drink I made. Take it to your dad. If you do that, I’ll forgive you, and we can still be good friends. How does that sound?” 

Julius took the bottle, a little unsure. “Is it really just a drink?” 

“Of course,” she said, nodding. “You know how much I care about your dad. I wouldn’t do anything to hurt him. It’s just a drink, nothing more.” 

Julius frowned. “But why not give it to him yourself?” 

Sarah sighed, her face briefly showing some sadness. “Your dad and I had a fight. He hasn’t forgiven me yet, and I want to make things right. You give it to him first, and then I’ll go talk to him.” 

Julius‘ doubts faded away. He nodded seriously. “Okay, I’ll do it.” 

Sarah smiled warmly, “Thanks, Julius. You’re a good boy.” 

As soon as Julius walked away with the bottle, her smile disappeared, replaced by a cold, calculating expression. 

She took out her phone and made a call. “Keep an eye on Arthur. Make sure he drinks it, then guide him to the room we’ve set 

up.”

“It’s a drink I made. It tastes pretty good. You should try it!” Julius said earnestly.
