Arthur directly pushed Mason back to his room. 

His expression was cold and stern. “You were just there to apologize, but you two don’t even know each other. What’s there to talk about? Besides, are you just apologizing with words? There’s no sincerity at all.” 

Mason was momentarily speechless, staring at him in utter disbelief. After a long pause, he finally asked, “Then what do you suggest I should give as an apology?” 

Arthur sat down in a chair, staring at the bandages on his palm. His eyes were swirling with complex emotions, but his tone carried a hint of laziness. “You decide.” 

Mason sighed helplessly, furrowing his brows. “Arthur, how can you decide Sarah’s marriage? She’s Tiffany’s sister, she…” 

But Arthur interrupted him, lifting his gaze to look at him coldly. “Is she Tiffany’s sister? Isn’t she from the Hardwick family? What does she have to do with the Miller family? You need to understand something. If you owe Tiffany, you should treat her parents well and take care of them as much as possible, not her sister.” 

After he finished speaking, he had a self–mocking smile on his lips. 

He only understood that truth later.

Mason fell silent. His gaze dropped, and he knew well that Arthur was right.

But every time Sarah cried, he felt guilty, and his mind would always drift back to Tiffany. 

He took a deep breath and said, “Okay, I get it.” 

After a pause, he asked, “Will you go to Sarah’s wedding?” 

Arthur’s gaze was icy, his voice devoid of any warmth. “If I go, it wouldn’t be a wedding anymore.” 

Mason remained silent. 

Sarah had crossed the line too many times. Arthur was now set on eliminating her if she dared to cause any more trouble. 

Marrying her off and having her leave Lanceser was the best way to handle the situation for now. 

“I’ll think carefully about what gift to send Ms. Hardwick as an apology. You can leave now. I don’t want to see you anymore,” Mason said, ordering him to leave. 

Arthur snorted with a sneer and stood up to leave. 

The moment the door to the ward closed, Mason’s phone rang. He took it out and saw that it was Sarah calling. 

“Hello, Sarah,” he answered the call, and his tone softened slightly.
