Chapter 57 Have Him Forgive You
1/4
Charlotte walked back to Starlight Terrace, holding the divorce papers covered in red marks. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Diana sitting on the sofa.
Diana was dressed in a black silk nightgown, her long hair cascading naturally. She had a facial mask on and, upon seeing Charlotte, glanced up briefly before coldly turning her gaze
away.
Charlotte immediately sensed something was wrong.
She changed her shoes and carefully approached Diana, asking, “Diana… Is there something going on?”
Diana gave a detached nod. “Yes.”
Charlotte cautiously asked, “Is it bad?”
Diana’s face remained emotionless. “All the people who were interested in working with you have stopped replying. They must be scared of Arthur. The fame you worked so hard to build is over before it even started.”
Charlotte was stunned.
She slumped onto the sofa, completely disheartened.
Her eyes glazed over as she stared at the beautifully designed ceiling, murmuring, “Meeting Arthur really brings nothing but misfortune.”

Charlotte’s eyelashes fluttered. “That jerk definitely has bad
intentions.”
Diana replied, “They’re offering the same price and the same terms, but they want you to sign a contract with Arthur for long–term cooperation.”
“No.”
Charlotte refused immediately.
“I’ve finally gotten this close to a divorce. I don’t want to deal with him after we’re divorced.”
Diana said, “But you don’t have another choice now.”
Charlotte suddenly stood up. “Who says that?”
“Hmm?”
Diana’s cool, beautiful face flashed a moment of doubt.
Charlotte smiled and said, “I’ve exchanged contacts with Edward’s grandson. My incense works well for him; he would help me.”

With that, she eagerly took out her phone and sent a message to Jayce.
Charlotte: [Mr. Caldwell, are you there?]
Charlotte: [Mr. Caldwell, I’m sorry to disturb you at this hour, but I need your help with something.]
Chapfer 57 Have Him Forgive You Jayce: [You’re the same age as me.]
Charlotte stared at his reply, confused.
She thought, “What does that mean?
Why is he suddenly talking about age?”

After thinking for a moment, she realized he might not like the way she addressed him.
Charlotte: [Sorry, that was a bit abrupt, but after thinking about it, I find you’re the only one who can help me. At Edward’s birthday party, I impulsively offended Arthur, and he threatened not to let me off the hook. No one dares to cooperate with me now. Do you think you can help me solve this?]
Jayce: [No.]
Jayce: [Apologize to him and have him forgive you.]
Charlotte felt speechless.
She threw the phone down, feeling completely hopeless.
On the other end, Jayce read the ellipsis she had sent, paused for a moment, and then dialed Arthur’s number.
“Hello?” Arthur said.
Jayce said, “I met Ms. Aroma. She said she was very sorry and that she shouldn’t have said those things. She hopes you can forgive her.”
