Chapter 107: Chase You

Jasmine's POV

“ How's sir Diego, ma'am Jaz?” Rhian asked me. I sigh before answering her.

“ He's still in a coma; I just prayed that he would wake up soon”, I told her. They knew what happened to him.

That's why, after three days, I didn't go to work. They knew that there was a plain crush, but they didn't know that Diego was one of the passengers. Maybe he was thinking about surprising us that day. That's why he didn't tell me that he was coming home.

“Every one of us is also praying for his fast recovery, ma'am. Sir Diego doesn't deserve to be in that situation.” She said. I looked above to stop myself from crying.

Damn! Every time I remember how great and kind he is, I can't stop myself from crying.

“ Thank you, “ I told her in my husky voice. Last night, I was busy doing a lot of paperwork, both abroad and here. I even felt dizzy, but I did not have a choice but to work.

Via and our team abroad also called me when they heard about what happened to Diego. They advised me and encouraged me to be brave.

I was touched because of what she said. After what happened to me in the past when Die Left me, the only one who is always willing to listen to my rants. And now, I'm happy that I built good relationships with others. My team was not just my workers but also my friends.

After I was done with my work, I decided to eat in a restaurant. It's been days since I could eat properly because of what is happening to us right now.

It only took me how many minutes to arrive at the restaurant. As soon as I got inside, the waitress asked me about my order, and I told him about it. I just waited for how many minutes until my order was served.

I started eating while I was still busy checking my phone. I grabbed my juice and zipped it.

“ You were here” I immediately looked at him. Then, I felt the atmosphere suddenly change.

I stopped eating and using my phone.

“ What are you doing here?” I asked him, but he just stared at me. My voice was still husky, which made him knot his forehead.

“ Are you alright?” He became concerned, which I didn't expect. He stared at me like he was assessing me from head to toe.

“ It's none of your business, Travis. “ I lost my appetite as soon as I saw him. I actually have no interest in arguing with him right now. I still have a lot of jobs to do.

What did he do again? He suddenly let go of me. I don't want to turn around. I don't want to see his face. I don't want to see him crying. I just can't.

“ Even if you kept on pushing me away, I still couldn't let go. I'm still tied up with you. “ He said. I don't understand him. He's not moving.

“ I know you don't believe me, whatever I say. I know that you couldn't trust me anymore after what happened. I tried to forget you but I couldn't. I tried everything but you are still in my heart. “ I don't know what is wrong with him. Why he's telling all of this to me?

I turned around, but I regretted it. I was really trying not to look at him. But now I saw the bruises on his face. What the heck happened to him?

I wanted to ask him about it, but I kept my silence.

“ I will still chase you, even in desperate moments. I will still choose to fix things with you,” he told me, looking directly into my eyes.

I don't know what to say. I wasn't ready for this, and I didn't want to argue with him. I'm still facing difficulties right now, and I'm so drained and tired.

“ I’m not asking you to answer me. It's okay if you get mad at me, if you keep pushing me away, or if you are irritated with me right now. I will always remind you that I won't give up on you,” he smiled at me before turning around.
