Chapter 43: A Mess

Jasmine's POV

“ So what are we gonna do now?” I asked Erica, I know that they were busy last night, and they don't have enough sleep but this design and proposal is very important.

“ I was just wondering. I found something as usual.” The painting at my back wasn't in its proper arrangement near the drawer where we always placed our plans for our meeting.

“ What do you mean, Ma'am?” Kurt asked with a confused voice. Rhian even looked at me.

“ I do not want to say this, but someone is sabotaging us. I found my painting not in its proper arrangement. I’m also wondering how those files would be missing together with the files in Rhian’s laptop. Something's not right here,” I told them.

“ Does that mean there is someone in here trying to sabotage our plan?” Jacob uttered and looked at each of them.

“ I can't do that, I am loyal from the start” Kurt said, defending himself.

“ What is even more Interesting in that is the part where my camera didn't catch anything,” I added while looking at them.

“ I know I've been working here for just a year but I couldn't sabotage our work,” Erica said, trying to clear herself.

“ What is that man doing there in the middle of the night?” Erica pointed at the screen. That's also my question.

I also went to your office, ma'am, but I couldn't find the hard copies,” she said. I tried to zoom in on the man, but he was wearing a cap and facemask.

“ Mr. Huston, we have a deal. You can't just cancel that easily. “ I told him but he just laughed. That made me pissed off.

I frustratedly threw my phone on the table and stood up while massaging my forehead. Damn it! We made an effort to do that proposal, and now everything went a mess!

“ Ma'am” Rhian stood up and she looked scared. I look at them and they are worried.

“Mr Huston cancelled his investment. “ I told them and I can see how their faces changed.

“ He cancelled the deal not just because we were late but also because he found another company that offered him a great deal,” I told them no one talks while Rhian is still Crying. She knows how important that dream is. Every one of them knows
