Chapter 71: Fake Smiles

Jasmine's POV

I actually didn't know why Paul was acting like that. He seemed to know something that I didn't. I just couldn't figure it out.

“ Here are the designs that we discussed when you were not still in my team. “ I showed him everything and he started to look at it.

He checked it one by one, adding the flowers, the tables and chairs and all the materials that I'd presented to Bianca and Clarkson.

“ They agreed to that but they said if we can add something then we can tell them” I said without looking at him.

He didn't respond to me. That's why I decided to glance at him but then I saw him staring at me. I furrowed my eyebrow which made him smile. He's like a crazy dog! I'm so irritated with him.

“ What are you laughing at?!” I couldn't really control my anger when it came to him. I knew he's been staring at me and he's freaking me out for real.

“ I'm not laughing,” he said and faked a cough. I rolled my eyes and didn't talk to him.

“ Can you see that one that you are holding?” he said. He suddenly held the paper, and I thought he was going to get it from me when he touched my hand. And I glared at him.

“ Oh, sorry” he said and smiled and slowly let go of my hand and got the paper. Is he doing that on purpose?

He's like playing with me damn him. I glared at him because he was not looking at the paper; he was looking at me.

“ Could you please stop staring?! Or else I would be forced to tell Rhian to do my job!” I irritatedly told him, and he fixed himself like he didn't want to work with my assistant.

“ Tsk," I heard him hiss, but I didn't care.

“ Are you guys having a good time working together?” Bianca asked and sat on the chair.

I showed a smile and nodded, even if it was against my will.

“ Yes, it's really great working with Mr. White,” I said and glared at Travis but he just smiled at me.

“ It's really an honor working with a gorgeous and smart woman like Ms. Jasmine,” he said and smiled broadly. He's faking it again, just like he always does.

“ That's good. We also decided to get you guys as our best man and Bridesmaids for our wedding. Is that okay with you guys?” She said that surprised me.

Wait what? Is she kidding? I mean, choosing the bridesmaids and best man is crucial, and it must be important to them or their relatives.

“ Are you sure?” I wanted to make sure it's not that I'm Rejecting her offer but I just don't want to be with Travis
