Chapter 98: Annoying

Jasmine's POV

“ Have you done the papers that I am telling you to finish?” I asked Ryan. We're at the office right now, rushing the proposal that we need to finish at the end of the week.

“ Yes, ma'am, don't worry. Jacob is helping me,” He said and handed me a file of paper again.

I checked everything. This was the last agreement we had yesterday with our client. Actually, when I'm not in the office or when I'm busy, Erica and Kurt will meet with our clients since Rhian is always with me.

Diego called me yesterday and said that the business is in good condition now. He still needs to do something. I haven't told my son about it, but if he knew, I'm sure he would be happy.

He's really excited to see Diego again. He really missed playing with him. She's not used to playing with women like Cherry, but I can see that he's used to her.

“ Tell Erica and Kurt to meet with Mr Christopher tomorrow. Rhian and I were still busy, and I sent you an email earlier. You can check it after this, “ I told him. He smiled and nodded.

He leaves my office while I'm busy on my laptop. I check the time. I just went here to finish this paper, but after this, I will go back to the venue.

“ Promise me that you will always be by my side no matter what happens.” My arms were wrapped around his nape, and my hands were on my waist. We were both looking at each other. We were deeply in love. We were spending time together during the sunset.

“ I promise I will always choose to be with you no matter what. I promise to love you and cherish you. I promise to take good care of you and protect you. I promise to give my time to you. That's how much I love you.” He sealed those promises through our passionate kiss. We ran out of breath when we separated from our kiss.

“ I promise that you will be the only woman in my life. I love you my life, baby, my love” he kissed me again while I was over the moon hearing those promises he kept on saying.

“ I promise to love you, only you, Travis. I promise to hold on to our relationship. I promise to understand you and trust you. I promise to spend my life with you.” My words made him smile broadly, which made me kiss him again.

Those promises were now gone. I promise to love him and only him. Yes, I fulfilled my promise. I never loved anyone, only him, but he cheated on me.

I promised him that I would hold to our relationship to understand him and trust him. Again, I did what I promised. I gave him my trust, and I understood him even in those difficult moments. I kept on understanding and trusting him and holding on to our relationship, but then, in the end, he cheated on me.

But what about him? Where are those promises? He fulfilled nothing. That's why we ended up getting divorced.

My phone rings, and I immediately answer it.

“ I sent my secretary here in case you weren't informed that when I am not here on time, it means that Rhian will be doing my job, “ I firmly told him so he could understand.

“ But I want you to work with me, not her. Besides, we have to talk.” My forehead was knotted because of what he said. Talk about what? I don't know if we have a meeting today.

“ Talk about what? Where are the couples? I thought they were here?” I asked him, but he just stared at me.

“ Talk about us. “ Did he lose his mind? We are at work right now. And there's no need to talk about us.

“ If you are here and asked me to be here just to talk about nonsense things, then you better leave me alone “ I started to get annoyed at him again.

“ Jaz, common, let's talk, please “ he touched my hand, which made me push him.

Damn, this guy's when he's going to stop?! He's annoying as hell.
