I opened my mouth ,immediately smell of blood rushed into my airway, and I couldn't control myself coughing fit that followed.

Caroline looked up at the parents around us and said angrily, "Did you guys see that? I just hit her lightly and she acted like this!"

I coughed until my face turned red and my eyes became bloodshot.

The parents in the classroom looked at me with poisonous and vicious eyes.

The phone rang, my heart was in my throat.

Caroline sneered, "Matthew's mother probably thinks you're making prank calls and you're still putting on an act,"

Thinking of my son, my eyes lit up again.

"Wait, where's my son? He can prove it for me. I'm here today just for him to attend the parent-teacher meeting!" I said.

Caroline quickly stepped forward and slapped me hard in the face.
