Bill turned his head away, biting his lip without saying a word. 

Cara sighed softly. Hearing the dismissal bell ring outside, she said to Harvey, “You can go now.“‘ 

Harvey let out a sigh of relief and quickly left the office. 

Clara stayed behind with Billy, gently comforting him with a few kind words. After some thought, she decided to switch his seat and let him go. 

The office was empty, leaving only her and Ethan. 

Ethan finally spoke, explaining, “I know a bit about Bill’s family situation. His mother had cancer and passed away two years ago. The family was lett with a large debt, and his tather has been working away from home for the past three years without returning 

“Bithy lives with his grandmother now, but her health is poor, and her eyesight is failing 

“That glow must have been knitted by his mother before she passed away. It’s too small for him now, but he treasures it and keeps it with him all the time as a memento of her. “He’s not the type of lad who ever causes trouble. He does well in school and has never had conflicts with others before. This time, if his deskmate hadn’t ruined his glove, he wouldn’t have started a fight” 

By the end of his explanation, Frhan sighed deeply. 

Coming from his background, if not for his wife, he might never have realized how many people in this world were struggling to make ends meet, enduring unimaginable hardship.

Ethan noticed Clara lowering her head, her eyes red with emotion. He pulled out a tissue and handed it to her. “Are you crying? Have you never seen anything like this before?” “Thank you,” Clara said quietly, taking the tissue 

“Mr. Stone, what made you decide to come here to teach she asked. 

“It was because of my wife. She was the one who told me that there are people in this world who can’t even meet their basic needs. She was the one who showed me a side of life completely different from the glitz and glamour of the city. 

“When she got sick, I decided to come back here with her. I didn’t want her to have any regrets.” 

“Mr. Stone, no matter why you came here, you’ve brought hope to these children. They all like you very much. Even years from now, I believe they’ll still remember you.” 

Clara was deeply moved, her heart filled with warmth. She had never once regretted coming here. 

Ethan didn’t say anything more. He gave her a nod and let the office 

Clara sat quietly for a moment, carefully putting away the gloves before standing up to leave.
