The inpatient department had three floors, with only a few rooms faintly lit 

The nurse was about to lead Wren into one of the lit rooms when he spoke up immediately. “Nurse, please find me a private room with better conditions.” 

The nurse glanced at him and reminded, “That will cost extra” 

“Money is not an issue,” Wren replied without hesitation 

If there were other people in the room, Cara wouldn’t be able to rest well or sleep at all. 

Seeing his firm attitude, the nurse nodded without further objection and led him upstairs to the second floor. 

Noticing how carefully Wren cradled Clara in his arms, his own clothes dripping wet and leaving him visibly trembling, the nurse smiled as she remarked, “You’re very good to your sister. You even jumped into the water to save her, didn’t you? It’s such a cold night, but you still risked it 

“The bond between you two siblings is truly enviable.” 

Wren remained silent, wanting to correct her, but he couldn’t find the right words to explain his relationship with Clara. 

To others, she was his “sister“, yet he knew deep down that what he wanted had never been a sibling bond Long before Chara realized her feelings for him, he had already tallen deeply in love with her
