After the meeting, Tiffany grabbed Melody’s arm and pulled her toward the cafeteria. 

“See? Everyone thinks you’re amazing. Well, except for Dr. Flanigan ” 

Ever since Krystal’s last comment, Tiffany had held a grudge against her. She muttered under her breath, “I don’t get what makes her think she’s so special, acting all high and mighty every single day.” 

“Don’t say that, it wouldn’t be good if someone overhears,” Melody reminded her. 

Tittany knew she had a point, so she dropped the subject. She then excitedly started filling Melody in on all the gossip from the past few days while she had been 

Just then, a voice called out from behind them, “Ms. Wardolf, Tiffany.” 

Melody and Tiffany turned around to see Harold, Jeremy, and Caleb approaching them. 

Caleb was the find to speak. “Are you guys here for lunch? Let’s eat together.” 

Tillany early choked and quickly shot back, “Nope. We’re just here for a stroll.” 

“Astrol? In the cafeteria?” 

“yeal. We’re here to walk around. What about it?” 

The two of them went back and forth, bickering assal 

However, Melody stayed silent as her gaze lingered on Jeremy. 

She wanted to ask him why he hadn’t raised his hand, but she had no right to. 

Krysta! was right—some people supported her, and others didn’t, and Jeremy simply chose to be in the latter group.

As they finished getting their meals, Caleb casually grabbed a few bottles of juice and set them on the table. “Consider this a little celebration for M. Wardolf getting back to work and hearing again.” 

Melody smiled. “Thanks” 

Just then, a cool, composed voice cut through the chatter, “Jeremy.” 

Krystal stood a short distance away, holding a meal tray. Her gaze swept over Melody before settling on Jeremy. 

“I have a case I’d like to discuss with you. Do you have a moment?” she asked. 

Before Jeremy could respond, Caleb waved her over. “Dr. Finnigan, come sit with us.” 

Krystal didn’t move and lupt her gaze on Jeremy “t’s a little noisy here. Can we go somewhere quieter?” 

Jeremy let out 

hum and stood up. As he did so, his gece briefly met Melody’s 

Melody passed her lips together and quickly looked away.
