Chapter 83 

Melody stayed in the break room alone for another two minutes before rushing out. Composing herself, she returned to the nurse’s station. 

Jeremy was right. She shouldn’t have neglected the other patients because of her personal issues. 

Noticing Melody. Tiffany asked in a concerned manner, “Look at you. Your eyes are as red as a bunny’s. Mel, you need to pull yourself together.” 

Melody nodded in response. Her voice was hoarse as she replied, “Thanks” 

“That reminds me, Mr. Comwell’s daughter came here earlier. She wanted you to have this. It’s a token of appreciation because you’ve been taking such good care of herdad.” 

She handed Melody a bag with several ordinary–looking apples in it. Sophia had probably bought it somewhere near the hospital entrance. 

Tittany continued, “We told her we couldn’t take it, but she lett after leaving the apples at the nurse’s station. She said that Mr. Comwell had been asking her to buy you some fruits on the day of his discharge.” 

They weren’t strangers to the fickleness of human relationships. However, they couldn’t help but feel a little saddened when they saw the apples. 

Melody sighed wearily and took a deep breath. Then, she raised her hand and patted Tiffany’s shoulder. “That’s enough. Let’s get back to work I’m going to amange the prescription” 

She had to fulfill the responsibility and duty of her job. 

Melody and Rosario’s matter was made public the next day. The hospital authorities communicated with Tessa about it, and she immediately made a police report. The police officers were already on their way to Rosario’s place. 

Tiffany wasn’t too happy about it. “What is this? When you were set up as the fall guy, she pointed her finger at you and tore you a new one. Now that you’re no longer the culprit, she didn’t even apologize to you. So much for a female entrepreneur.” 

Melody responded, “Didn’t her assistant tell us that they will make an official announcement once they’re done with Rosario?” 

“It’s not the same. Official announcements are made to punish the wrongdoers. It isn’t an apology. She owes you a good, proper apology.” 

At the next moment, Krystal, Jeremy, and a few other doctors tumed the comer and showed up. She frowned and looked at Tiffany in displeasure. 

“You just can’t stop badmouthing patients on hospital premises, can you?” 

Having been caught red–handed, Tiffany immediately felt embarrassed. That didn’t stop her from protesting stubbornly, though. 

“But she’s supposed to apologize to Mel. What gives her the right to falsely accuse Mel? Are you going to tell me because she’s the patient? Does that mean you won’t but an eyelid if she does it to you?”
