Melody had no idea how she got out of the cat and made it home.

She gave a bitter laugh. “This checkup was supposed to happen last year, but they kept postponing it. If it weren’t for Orphy and a few others running tevers and having stomach pains again, I wouldn’t have brought this up to you.”
