Chapter 130
Based on Skyler’s words, everyone in the living room deduced that Willow was the reason Caroline ended
up in her current state.
Willow’s lips instantly paled. She’d genuinely liked the Carters. No matter how lowly Zayn thought of her, she never hoped for Wynn and the others to hate or despise her.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Dawson. Please excuse me.” She got up in a hurry and rushed out of the living room after
grabbing her bag.
She didn’t get to leave the room before a warm hand reached out and grabbed hers.
At first, she thought it was Kenan. To her surprise, it was Wynn,
There wasn’t a shred of disgust or contempt in Wynn’s eyes. Her expression was just as amiable as it was
before.
“I believe in Kenny’s judgment, Willow.” She gently patted the back of Willow’s hand.
“Since Caroline asked Xavier not to make things difficult for you when she woke up briefly, there must be something else going on here. I will do my best to help her regain consciousness as soon as possible. Then, I’ll do you justice,” Wynn reassured her.
Stunned, Willow stared at her. She couldn’t stop her eyes from welling up with tears. After being scarred and wounded by Zayn, she wouldn’t have expected his mother to be holding her hand, telling her with conviction that she’d do her justice.
Wynn Yates made her feel extremely warm.
As she stared into her gentle yet firm eyes, she felt like there could actually be justice for her in this world.
“Thank you, Aunt Wynn,” she spoke earnestly. She was grateful to her for making her believe in the world
again.
Suddenly, Willow wished she was Skyler instead. Not because she could capture Zayn’s heart, but because she would have Wynn as her mother–in–law.

“What for, silly girl! You’re the girl that Kenny likes–that my daughter. How could I not trust my own daughter?”
