Chapter 153
“She’s dead.”
Zayn was startled by this sudden thought. But when he noticed her chest shallowly rising and falling, he gradually calmed down.

His only answer was the stickiness on his palms.
Zayn’s expression darkened as he stared at the blood on his sheets. He was furious that Willow didn’t treasure herself and put him through the wringer with this rollercoaster of emotions. He was so furious that he wanted to toss her out the window.
Yet, he also couldn’t bring himself to do it when he looked at her vulnerable expression.
Before today, when Willow was awake, she always had her chin tilted up. She was such a strong and independent woman that Zayn wanted to tear her down. Only when she was unconscious did she finally show a vulnerable side.
He also knew that Willow’s back couldn’t be the only spot that was injured. Just as he was about to check the rest of her body for injuries, he noticed the splotches of blood on his shirt. Her hand had brushed against those spots.
The glove had already stuck to her wound. Even if Zayn hadn’t wanted to hurt her, he still ended up aggravating her injury anyway. Even Zayn winced when he saw the blood from Willow’s knuckle. But Willow remained still on the bed. Her arms and wounds too.
