After speaking. Janet shot a flirtatious glance at lan, who finally met her gaze. Generally known for her strict and direct manner, Janet now gazed down bashfully like a teenage girl.
“Mr. Nightingale,” she murmured.
lan fought back the nausea and responded calmly, “What now? If we’re not going with Willow as the brand ambassador, are you suggesting yourself instead?”
Janet looked at lan, pleasantly surprised. Everything she had done that day was to gain favor with Wilhelmina and Skyler. She never expected such an opportunity to arise.
Yet, she couldn’t express her desire to become the brand ambassador for Arena of Glory outright.
Instead, she responded shyly, “Mr. Nightingale, you’re making me blush.”
lan’s expression darkened. He might have already retched if he hadn’t possessed such remarkable self- control.
Janet seemed oblivious to his feelings of disgust. She batted her eyelashes at him, her expression brimming with flirtatious charm.
“If I could earn your favor, Mr. Nightingale, I assure you won’t regret it.”
lan didn’t respond immediately. Instead, his gaze slowly drifted down to her feet.
The hall had thick carpets lining its floor. Everyone had gone barefoot earlier for the audition, leaving their shoes in the wardrobe. Thus, Janet remained barefoot even after the audition was over.
Janet’s excitement surged when she noticed lan’s gaze on her feet, and her cheeks flushed an even deeper shade of red. She subtly shifted her feet, hoping to seduce lan with her body language. She thought his unwavering gaze was a sign of him being captivated by her looks.
