Eric secretly cheered for Ian’s suave comeback. 

Wilhelmina had been getting on Zayn’s nerves for a while now. He couldn’t help but smirk when he saw Ian put her in her place. 

However, his smile slipped when he remembered that Ian had humiliated Wilhelmina to get on Willow’s good side. 

“Harper is an old friend of my grandfather’s and only agreed to loan me the gown because of it,” Ian pointed out. “Seeing as you’ve ruined the gown, I suggest you see Harper personally and discuss the matter of compensation.” 

As if recalling something, he added with mock kindness, “Oh, someone once offered ten million dollars for the gown. But Harper couldn’t bear to part with the gown and turned down the offer.” 

Ten million dollars. 

Wilhelmina’s knees went weak when she heard the amount and she collapsed to the floor once more. 

The dress hadn’t been torn during her previous fall, but her movements this time ripped the seams at her waist and back wide open. There was no saving the gown now. 

Panicking, Wilhelmina tried but failed to pull the seams at her sides together. The rips were far too wide for her to do anything about them. 

Zayn couldn’t stand the idea of Ian stealing the spotlight in front of Willow. 

As such, he chimed in suitably, as if to remind Willow of his presence, “Wilhelmina, trying to squeeze into a dress that’s too small for you is by far the dumbest thing you’ve done. You sure you’ve got a brain up in that head of yours?” 

“You’re…” Wilhelmina wanted to snap at Zayn and tell him he was the dumb one, but she didn’t dare insult him. 

Matthew thought it was stupid of Wilhelmina to squeeze into the gown too. But she was his lawfully wedded wife, and any humiliation on her part translated to his as well. 

Pulling Wilhelmina behind him protectively and pinning Ian with a warning look, he said begrudgingly, “20 million dollars as compensation for the gown. I’ll wire the money to your bank account, Mr. Nightingale. 

“As for the gown, my woman can shred it or burn it for all I care. As long as I’m around to indulge in her whims, she can do whatever she wants.” 

With that, Matthew grabbed Wilhelmina by the wrist and led her out of the booth expressionlessly. 

“Zayn, should we leave too? I want to make sure Wilhelmina’s okay. I’m worried about her.” Skyler finally broke her silence. 

Zayn did not budge. “Why worry about an idiot?” 

“I…” Skyler wisely kept her argument to herself. She would be no better than an idiot if she insisted on going after Wilhelmina. 

After the shenanigans in the dressing room, the promotional shoot began. 

The promotional video would normally be shot after the photoshoot, but Harvey operated on a different wavelength. He insisted on filming the video first before anything else. 

The script for the promotional video had been tweaked in some places, and Willow couldn’t help but cringe at the dialogue. 

After leaping down gracefully from the swing, Nephelle–Willow’s character–would fall into Aither’s arms and say coyly, “Great Hero, if you would be so gracious, allow me to dance for you…” 

For some reason, Willow found it hard to address someone, even if it were a fictional character, as “Great Hero“. 

However, as an influencer dedicated to her art and career, she had no choice but to follow the script. 

Nephelle was the main character in the promotional video, and only Aither’s side profile would make it into the final shot.
