Chapter 40
Willow was confused. So, Kenan liked her?
Willow was never narcissistic. She knew she was attractive, but Kenan’s love at first sight was a bit too exaggerated,
As if sensing her doubts, Kenan excitedly spoke up, “Young lady, don’t think I’m too frivolous. I really like you. I’ve always felt like I’ve lost something important, and my heart has been empty. But when I saw you, I felt like I found what I’ve been missing for so long, and now my heart feels complete.
“Young lady, will you give me a chance to pursue you?
“Kenan, do you even know who she is?” Suddenly, Zayn’s cold voice cut through the air.
Willow’s heart tightened as if an invisible hand had squeezed her throat tightly.
“I don’t know! But I do know one thing. She’s the woman I want to spend my life with. As for the rest, I have plenty of time to figure it out!” Kenan’s smile was bright. “Young lady, do you think I’m right?”
“Spend your life together? Ha!” Zayn’s eyes were filled with disdain. “You want to spend your life with a prostitute, and you don’t even feel dirty!” He used the word “prostitute” again…
Willow’s lips turned pale.
Zayn always had a way of making her feel awful. He had called her a prostitute multiple times and said she was dirty, but never had she felt as humiliated
as she did now.
He then comfortingly patted Willow’s shoulder. “Young lady, don’t be sad. I believe you’re not that kind of person. I have eyes, I can see that you’re a good girl.”
Being despised by the person she loved the most, having her fingers chopped off by her best friend, and being trampled on by Louis time and time again, Willow had really started to believe that she was as filthy as those people said.
