Chapter 64 

“We can never experience the same joy together that we would with a woman, do you understand? We can never be together. 

Kenan continued to explain sincerely, “To be very honest, Zayn, I only love Willow. I’m not interested in you, and no matter how much you love me, never leave her to be with you.

He continued, “You have to get rid of those thoughts! Don’t go targeting Aaron or Willow just because you like me!

“If you can control your attraction to me, we can still be best friends. If not, I’ll be forced to stop being friends with you!”

Zayn finally understood what Kenan was stressed about. He thought Zayn had a crush on him!

Zayn’s expression had already darkened after being forced to kiss Kenan. After hearing that, his expression turned extremely grim.

However, Kenan interpreted Zayn’s expression as something completely different. His heart dropped to his stomach at the sight of Zayn’s somber expression. He felt as if his rejection had hurt Zayn and made him angry.

Kenan cleared his throat and struggled to get the words out. “Don’t take it too personally, Zayn. I just really don’t think we suit each other.”

“Fuck off!”

“Zayn shot up from his seat and did his best to hold down his violent nausea as he walked out of the room coldly.

Kenan sat where he was, looking at Silas and Charles helplessly.

“What do I do? I think I really hurt him. He’s not going to do anything silly, right?” he asked. “I only turned him down because I had to! No matter how close we are, I can’t date a man!”

He looked at Silas and Charles in a desperate attempt to feel reassured. “Don’t you guys agree?

Charles and Silas looked at each other dryly. They both couldn’t be bothered to entertain Kenan, whose intelligence had seemed to devolve to that of a box of crayons.

Since he couldn’t get a reply from either of his two friends, Kenan turned to look at Skyler, but was completely shocked by the look on her face.

He almost jumped from his shock. Even though he didn’t really like his sister, he knew it was still his fault that he stole Zayn’s heart away and felt the need to console her. 

“I’m sorry! I didn’t know Zayn had those intentions toward me. Don’t worry, though, I can definitely convince him not to let you down!” “Whatever!” Skyler snapped at him as she stood up and stormed outside in her high heels.

Kenan didn’t know what to do. It was a pain to be so handsome. Winning the hearts of both men and women was simply too stressful for him!

The doctor had told her to only eat one pill at a time and that eating too many would cause her body to deteriorate even faster. However, just one pill no longer had any effect on her. She needed to eat a whole handful at once,
