“What?” Kenan asked with wide eyes. He looked as if he’d heard some terrifying urban legend.

While Kenan was still processing his shock, Willow told him everything that happened between her and Zayn.

Apart from being diagnosed with late–stage cancer, she told him everything that had happened in the last few years.

She once thought that she would never bring up those painful, dark, and humiliating memories ever again. But she finally realized that it was easy to open up to someone she trusted.

They had already reached Bordello by the time Willow finished talking.

She looked at Kenan who was still in shock. “Mr. Dawson, Aaron is actually Zayn’s kid, but he’s so deep in his misunderstanding that he’s unwilling to

believe me.

“As for Skyler, she’s your biological sister. You can choose whether to believe what I told you or not. If you don’t believe me, just treat it as the ramblings of a crazy woman.

“I know how much you’ve done for me, Mr. Dawson, and I’m incredibly grateful. But we can’t be together. Zayn isn’t the only thing standing between us. There’s Skyler, too. We really aren’t cut out for each other.”

“I believe you, Willow!” Kenan said as he stubbornly pulled her into his embrace. “But we are cut out for each other. No one else matters but you,

I would still cross it to be “You’re the one I love, and I want to be with you. Who cares about Zayn and Skyler? Even if there was an ocean separating us, with you. Please don’t turn me down again, Willow. Give me a chance to take care of you”

Hot tears filled Willow’s eyes. She never thought that Kenan would like her so much. She looked up at him, her wet lashes fluttering delicately. It was incredibly rare to meet a man who actually loved her.

She wanted to be with Kenan. She really did. She had wasted the first half of her life loving Zayn like a moth burning itself near a flame. It was exhausting.

If she got together with Kenan, she knew she would fall in love with him eventually. He was so good to her. If they had the rest of their lives to spend together, why not use the rest of their time to love freely and wildly?

The sad thing was that she didn’t have any time to spend with him. Her life was about to come to an end. She couldn’t let herself waste his time.
