Chapter 86
“This way, Mr. Carter. Ah…” Willow winced as she felt a sudden pain in her wrist. Zayn didn’t dance with her. Instead, he scooped her up and swiftly ascended the stairs to the guest room.
“Let’s dance first, Mr. Carter.” Realizing Zayn’s intentions, Willow attempted to break free from his grasp.
“Dance?” Zayn sneered and looked at Willow coldly. “Willow, don’t pretend to be virtuous in front of me. You went to all this trouble just to seduce mer here. Was it merely for a dance?
“L…” Willow was speechless. She had known all along that she wouldn’t just be dancing with the man who won her tonight.
Willow’s silence caused Zayn’s expression to darken further. He quickened his pace, and in the blink of an eye, he had carried her into the upstairs guest
room.
The manager had already placed the prepared agreement on the desk. Upon entering, Zayn rudely tossed Willow onto the bed and snatched up the document, slamming it into her face.
“Sign it.”
Willow’s face stung from the impact, but she couldn’t afford to pay it much attention. Trembling, she reached for the agreement, quickly scanned it, and then signed her name.
A woman auctioned off for her first dance had to sign an agreement. This agreement would bind her into becoming the lifelong mistress of the man who had purchased her. She would be subject to his every whim and desire.
After signing it, Willow numbly placed the document back on the desk. She found it absurd. People always strive for better, but she went from being Zayn’s rightful wife to his lifelong mistress.
“I’ve signed it, Mr. Carter,” Willow said timidly. The simple sentence drained almost all her strength.
