They looked exasperated when they rushed in.

Haelor visibly calmed down a little when his gaze landed on me. It was surprising to see both of them coming together.

Normally, I knew the two were always at loggerheads and couldn’t stand the sight of one another. Yet, they’d both come here together just for me.

I couldn’t help the small feeling of warmth that bloomed in my chest.

"Elder Arthur!" Prince Askhan made his way towards the man.

His eyes held different emotions as he stared at him. "How’s her wolf?"

"As it’s always been." Arthur let out a sigh.

"Have you been able to come up with a solution? Anything?" Askhan’s voice rose higher than he probably intended it to be.

Haelor came up towards the man, an unreadable expression on his face. "We hoped you’d have come up with something by now."

"Oh my," Arthur stepped back a little. "Who let you two come over? I thought it’d be just Giselle and those other two. Why are you here in the middle of the night?"

His brows raised and his eyes turned mischievous. "Are all you handsome men planning on staying the night with me?"

"What the actual fuck?"

Arthur turned to notice the obvious glare of displeasure on Cyrus’s face. He wasn’t having any of Arthur’s antics and he was going out of his way to show it.

"Oh come on. You can’t actually blame me for thinking that, can you?" Arthur had a cheeky smile on his face.

"Yes, I’ll blame you," Cyrus scoffed, "It’s not my fault you’re a weirdo."

"No I’m not. Besides, who wouldn’t fawn at the possibility of having so many handsome men visit them at night?"

Cyrus looked like he was just about done with Arthur’s jokes. "You are insufferable."

"I can say the same for you." Arthur let out a small huff.

"Well I’m not the one making such perverted jokes." Cyrus shot back.

"Excuse you," Arthur continued, "A man of my calibre would never do such a thing."

Cyrus let out a frustrated groan. It was a bit endearing seeing them go at it like children. It made me wonder what kind of past they must have had to make them this comfortable with each other.

"Oh yeah?" Cyrus stepped forward. "Well—"

"This is an evil thing." He finally said.

I should have known. Just seeing the picture alone sent a wave of discomfort down my spine. Askhan leaned closer to get a good look at the picture. Haelor took a step forward as well, his eyes a mix of curiosity and dread.

"Where did you get this picture?" Askhan asked.

"Aunt Niamh." Cyrus answered exasperatedly.

The prince’s face went grim upon hearing those words. He silently cursed under his breath as he continued to stare at the picture.

"What do you think about it, Arthur?" Froste asked, leaning forward to get a good look of the bracelet.

"In our history as werewolves, we’ve come across a lot of dangerous artefacts. This comes in as one of them. It’s a diabolical thing to come across." Arthur explained, still wearing a look of displeasure as he watched her.

He handed the picture back to Cyrus who continued to stare at in amusement. "So why did Niamh have such a thing with her?"

"Wait. Can I see that?" Askhan leaned closer to him.

Cyrus handed him the paper. Askhan glazed over it with his eyes for a while before he let out a gasp.
